So I just realized while looking at the Rev website, that DDH Brunch Hero is just an IPA with Blood oranges. I guess i just assumed it would be a maple something or other, so i never even gave it a second look.

Definitely gonna pick up a 4-pack now.

 

Looks like VSOJ is going for $75+ per can. And yes, $100+ for one of each.

 

DDH Mango Hero was pretty damn tasty on draft last week when I stopped by. May want to consider that too!

And for $10 a 4pk of Lucia is well worth picking up!

 

Where? I saw someone selling a can of each for 80.

 

I dk because I don't monitor such things. I assumed it was a reasonable hypothesis on my end because they are hella into telling you how fast something sold out as some sort of metric of perceived value. It's all pretty preposterous either way it shakes out.

Yep. Thrilled with Riot. An underrated gem that goes overlooked with all the other great Rev beer. Still sad Ghost Ride didn't make it into cans this year as that was my go to summer crusher last year. Happy I was able to get some crowlers of it a couple of weeks ago when it was available.

I didn't see it specified anywhere but does anyone know if Supermassive's distro is only Chicagoland or if some of it's going out further? Would be nice to finally try that one and I've been pleasantly surprised before by finding Deepwood stuff on shelves in Mke that I wasn't expecting to see distro. Has there been any word on that?

I thought I saw “some distribution” which I take as “limited distribution”.
By comparison, this is how the past winter of Deep Wood beers went to distro and may help you figure out if you will see Supermassive or not.
“Deth's Tar, Café Deth, Straight Jacket, and Ryeway to Heaven will get wide distribution. Deth by Cherries and Mineshaft Gap will see limited distribution.”

 

Definitely grabbed some Deth by Cherries at a local shop and I feel like I remember seeing Mineshaft around too. Hoping you're right on this!

 

Nice - sounds like you should get lucky, though some stores will break up the 4pks and sell the cans as singles. The limited distro 4pks hit all the Binny's and it looked like the stores received anywhere from 1-3 cases. But I still see some Mineshaft Gap around months later- so tempting to pickup more!
I just opened a Cafe Deth that's been in the fridge since 10/23/20 and it is damn good. All of my Supermassive will go right in the fridge too and I'll try to keep some around through the fall, but I just love the fresh coffee so I'm not sure I will be able to resist the temptation.

Side note on glassware:
-the 20oz Imperial pints at 2/$10 are super - perfect for those 16oz cans (been gifting them)
-the 7oz logo taster set at 2 for $4 is perfect for those shares we've been waiting for. (who's in?)

 

There's still some Cuvee de Grace on shelves around too
