Awesome . . . I have tix for Wilco in Philly next month, my first live music since lockdown. I've probably seen Wilco more than any other band live, amazing every time.

Love Leon. Saw him at a dive bar in Carbondale, IL when I was at college at Southern Illinois. This was around 2004 or so, and he was still the same, just longer and whiter beard

 

I dragged myself out the door at 7 a.m. to get in a bike ride before the blast furnace that is July in South Carolina kicked in.
Had lunch with WW Pernicious.

Spending the afternoon reading with the Tour de France time trial stage on. The stage ends in Saint Émilion. Beautiful area, probably too high-dollar for the likes of me.

I’ve read comments by Bozzio, the drummer, that the jam was 45 minutes and Frank edited down it to 14. Would love to hear the tape masters.

 

I like John Mayer and have a lot of respect for his playing, but he's not really my cup of tea. I like the song you posted though. But like all musicians, he's constantly evolving so maybe I should check out some of his newer material. Cheers!!

 

That one is great, its The Mingus Big band, a tribute band from the 90's. Still awesome

Edit: The big band is under the direction of Sue Mingus though, his wife.

Holy moly!!! The caramel, marshmallow aroma wafting from this is sooooo inviting.

 

Yeah . . . I'm not a guitarist, but I get the sense he's the real deal, even when playing straight-up pop. I understand he tours with both Steve Miller and the Dead. I don't know, I just like the guy.
