Got the green bottle 6 pack, no offensive flavors that I could detect. The guy at the store said he had just stocked them that day. Honestly I really enjoyed drinking from the bottle, they're that nice long neck style and feel very nice in the hand. My only beef is that the taller bottles don't fit upright in my beer fridge, I'll keep my eye out for it now though and see what my other packaging options are

    @BigIronH here you go.

Oktoberfest in July, canned on 3/22/21. Only $8 for the four pack too. I figure if you’re enjoying a Maibock in July you won’t be above having an Oktoberfest in July either.

    Prost!

Oh man! They only had the liter cans around here last year. This is great news!

That sucks -- they had 6 & 12-pack bottles around here. Although, it seems like it came out a little later than the Marzen... but that could be distro monkey business.

Based on the Trumer (USA) website, they package in .5 liter (maybe pint?) and 12 ounce cans too. I haven't seen them in my area, but you're closer to the source.

I enjoy tipping the bottles once in a while, too, but the Saaz nose really stands out in my Becher glass.

It did suck. And worst part was it was the glass combo with the 1 liter mug, I of course gave in and bought it. But it essentially makes it a one and done purchase which stinks. I really hope those four packs make their way around here. Paulaner finder is showing none for now but I’ve found that thing to be pretty accurate.

Ya I grabbed them to try out as a working beer, and they excelled, but I poured the last 12 oz into a glass as i had finished my task and was going to sit down and relax a bit and it was a beautiful beer in the glass. I definitely look forward to sitting down with it for a proper review.

What I've really come to respect and appreciate about these good European lager styles is their versatility. Easy to drink for social situations or as your fishing or yard work beer. And fully capable of standing up to a full geeked out examination, revealing levels of complexity that just is honestly impressive.

I need to make an effort to find one good reliable source for imports

Sorry, it was pictured on their Twitter page -- but you can't read the volume.

Found it at BevMo -- 19.2 ounce can. Weird quantity.

UK Imperial Pint. OK, makes no sense for an Austrian beer but, closer to home and more relevantly, one of the major US beer can manufacturers, Ball makes them - the righthand "Standard" can with the 'H' below.

I haven’t seen 4 packs of the pale Festbier before. Is it new for 2021? Wouldn’t surprise me.

See @AlcahueteJ post #482 above -- yes, new this year.

Austrian beer made in the U.S. -- exactly my point.

So, why does Ball make them in an odd volume? Trumer's "regular" cans are 12 ounces (and yeah, not exactly Austrian either, but at least the metric complainers can't.).

The imperial pint can is definitely becoming a bit of a thing out here. Trumer is one beer I'd actually enjoy at that volume. They're often sort of a craft beer but 40 out here with 7+% dipas packaged like that as singles at the gas station for 3$. There was a thread recounting the myriad examples in the northwest.

Similar story here. Thanks to @steveh and others singing the praises of Trumer pils, I had picked it up for the first time a few weeks ago. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Plus it's been on sale at Binny's for 10.99 a 12 pack of bottles which is a solid deal. Will definitely be picking this up again in the near future.

Based on that illustration, I imagine that wanted to produce a "big" can that took the standard size lid. I've seen a few brewers use them but I can't recall any of them labeling it a UK or Imperial Pint but I don't suppose the average single buyer reads the fine print and just buys based on looks.

A few weeks ago they had it for $9.99!
    Yeah, I grabbed a couple.

But the $10.99 is definitely a bargain.

German Pilsner has become my house style again.

I'd take it at that volume too. I simply meant that most beers I encounter in that 19.2 oz format are big dipas that I'd have to chug to finish before they got warm.
