Stopped at a local today -- no Fall/Autumn seasonals of any sort.

The first to show up in my area 2 years running is Benediktiner. Maybe give BeerMenus a go.

opposite here I think that was one of the last ones to show up here for us. Even compared to domestic, for whatever reason it showed up very late.

Odd. One would think they would move east to west across North America. I already enjoyed my first 4 pack of cans over the weekend. Canned on date is 2021-05-06. I'm guessing that means May but you never know with our European friends.

Picked up more HP and Paulaner (both BB 3/22) for a blind side by side rematch this weekend. May throw in the Wiesn to make my life more difficult

Free Will is releasing their pumpkin beer this weekend. Haven’t had it in past years, but their other beers are really good.

June 5th I think, it’s always day of said month

I was bummed it showed up so late. I already had so many stocked I only got a single. But I loved it. This year I’ll buy less of others to make room for at least a four.

Let us know the results, I remember not being able to really tell them apart last year.

Will do. Last year I did the Märzen and Wiesn blind and I think I picked wrong (though I felt that they were distinguishable)

They must be one of those oddball stores that thinks the fall doesn’t start in July.

Please let us know if you can tell the difference between the Märzen and Wiesn this time around.

LOL@me and shame on Total Wine. I just drank (and enjoyed) an old festbier.

As stamped on bottom of can.

The cans were wrapped in plastic and I just assumed they were from this year.

It's quite possible the distro kept what didn't sell last year and brought it out now to be the early bird -- and pass it over unsuspecting customers.

Seen it here -- called out the underhanded practice.

And there was a stack of 'em at the end of an aisle.

They did a "Christmas in July" promo/release. Now I'm not sure if it's a fresh batch, but it's good after aging, so either way it's a nice treat this time of the year.

Check the cans at the bottom of the stack... never know.

Store needs to hear they have old stock -- even if you only get a shrug.

NEVER assume with imports...especially this time of year.

Agreed. Definitely bring the cans back and tell them it's expired. You should at least get a refund or be able to exchange.

My 'local' Total Wine & More (Claymont, DE) requires the Wholesale Distributors to stock/manage their shelves. Given this business arrangement there is no doubt in my mind that the Wholesale Distributors will use Total Wine to get rid of old product. As the old saying goes: there is no such thing as a free lunch.

    Cheers!

I just received my weekly e-mail from a local beer retailer announcing what is new in the bottle shop and below are two fall beers listed:

12oz 6pk Cans Vonn Trapp Oktoberfest

    12oz 6pk Bottles Spaten Oktoberfest

It is just too hot now for these sorts of beers in my opinion.

    Cheers!
