Will Mikerphone get rid of the Smells Like Been Spirit coffee bean baby now that Nirvana is being sued by the kid on the Nevermind cover alleging it was child pornography? Would seem to be a poor thing to parody as a result of the allegation.

 

LOL - we were just talking about this tonight. It is CRAZY that the kid on the cover is now a 30yr old man, and he never received any compensation and the family did not sign any authorization for use of the pic. This guy will be getting a big payday!
For Mikerphone, it may be best to to change the label now?

 

Yes, Mr. Coffee Bean is now an adult and will be filing a suit against Mikerphone for having knowingly produced, possessed, and advertised commercial coffee bean pornography depicting a young Mr. Coffee Bean.

 

I’m seeing some cameltoe in that pic. Are we sure that’s not Mr. Coffeebean’s ole lady?

 

Sounds like he was hurt that no one from Nirvana agreed to come to his art show and now he has deciding to sue them. This is really a weird claim and they will either settle or it will get thrown out.

Remember last week when we discussed how Kyle from @horusagedales had selected 8 barrels while visiting us? Four of those barrels resulted in Horus Blends A-Lot, and the other four? Those were actually the base of our collab New Workout Plan (remember that one from early 2020?). While Kyle was here & tasting through those barrels he asked us to leave the beer as it was and not adjunct it, so here we are with .

This Imperial Stout aged in Willett Rye & Bourbon barrels for just over 18 months and clocks in at 14.76%. Big, oaky booze aromatics rise up immediately, followed by a thick body soaked in notes of chocolate, caramel, & toffee. Subtle hints of rye and just a kiss of sweetness wrap it up. Our non-adjuncted barrel-aged stouts were inspired by some of Chicago's barrel-aged giants, and this beer is exactly what we were striving to accomplish with that goal in mind.

Bottles sold out in like a minute this morning. First time I've seen that happen for Mikerphone beers.

 

And they oversold on we blend

 

Actually the opposite. Well Well Well was oversold by 100 bottles. I was told they retroactively moved the limit to 1pp so that they could fill the extra orders and am being refunded for one. My We Blends order was not affected and still have 2 bottles coming.

They also said that they are now reconsidering telling people the exact start time because it crashed Toast and glitched out.

 

I was able to purchase 2 bottles of we blends and zero bottles of well. They called me and said my purchase was being reduced to 1 bottle of we blends. Not a big deal at all…..but realize that my original post was made after a phone call from the brewery alerting me of the change.

 

Special Sauce Mosaic was one of the best beers of 2020. The 2021 tastes like Mikerphone significantly lowered the hopping rate on this beer this time around. Either that or it’s a yeast flavor, and the yeast through better flavors in 2020. I think this is why Mike decided to not use this yeast much anymore.

 

For anyone who missed out on some of the BA releases over the past few months, they are selling random mixed 3 packs of BA bombers today in the taproom in person only. Unlike DL mystery packs, the Mikerphone packs have windows and you can see which bottles are inside before you purchase. $90 per pack.

 

So…They aren’t really mystery packs?
