I picked some of this up tonight at a local bottle shop and the clerk said, "it just came in". When and how often is this stuff released? I should know the answer living in SoCal. But I dont follow Bootleggers that much or IPA releases for that matter. I probably wind up trading some and prospective traders will want freshness information. But I can't find any dates on the bottles. Thoughts?.... Thanks
Right before Thanksgiving weekend. I think first day of pickups were the 21st – no idea what actual bottle date would’ve been.
I just picked up a bottle at TW ten days ago as I was only allowed one.. Sunday afternoon, I saw a bunch sitting on the shelf at Bevmo and picked up 3 (no bottle limit ). Where is the date on this things?
Scanned the bottle tediously for several minutes trying to find what may be a bottling date. Nothing there.
Couldn't agree with you more! Not a bad beer, it's just malty and boring. It's like a whole bunch of new beer drinkers in OC hyped this thing out without knowing their IPA history. Go to school sons, and come back to me when you now what you're talking about. But then again, to each their own.
Not sure what you're talking about - wasn't aware that anyone, particularly 'new' beer drinkers had been hyping this batch. And if they had, I'm pretty sure they didn't sound as arrogant and vague as you're coming off here. What does IPA history have to do with a couple of allegedly sub-par releases?
Wow, ok, so does that mean since I have been drinking German beer for all my life while everyone here was drinking swill, you should all go back to school? Glad your such an expert and everyone who likes a beer that you dont needs to go get educated. Thats what you call a non beeradvocate.
I used to LOVE me some Knuckle Sandwich. It was always on the maltier side of DIPAs, but had a balance that was difficult to find in many IPAs. However, this latest batch really disappointed me. Very thin compared to previous batches, and the complexity just wasn't on par with what I've grown to expect out of KS. Overall, still a decent DIPA, but not even close to what it was before.
I'd be pretty shocked, given the hype this beer gets, that you'd be finding one from the prior batch. Whether or not they should label it with the date, I'm sure you're fine.
I posted 2:2 for Liquid Bliss and landed it. I haven't kept up with any other deals on it. I also kept one to enjoy.
