Deths Tar has gotten noticeably better from 2018->2019->2020 imo. Like not even close. Assuming that path continues or the 2021 batch is as good as the 2020 batch then it should be better than the 2018. I got a vanilla deth from a mystery bag back in the winter and while it was good, when I had a 2020 regular Deths Tar it was a night and day difference.

 

Did we not need to pick up VSOJ/Supermassive over the regular weekend hours? If so....I'm going to cry a bit harder that I had early access and didn't buy. I was out of town over the weekend but if I could've just picked it up later I'd have done it in a heartbeat.

I guess I disagree with you on one small point (2019 > 2020, in my opinion), but I get where you're coming from on the overall direction of the program.

 

Yeah I recall having the Rev booth basically to myself at the Great Taste of the Midwest and just downing that and Deth by Cherries as half the fest was in line for Prop ‘16 and the other half was in line for Toppling Goliath’s mystery pour (turned out to be Supa sumo)

I knew they did that for regular orders but had no idea they'd do it for the weekend releases....well that sucks hard. I guess that's what I get for not asking.

You can still get Supermassive and Strawberry 4 packs. VSOJ is available on draft. All that paired with lunch at the brew pub certainly wouldn't be a wasted day IMO.

It really was. Except for my children. And the traffic. I warned my wife, but she said let's just do it as we were already driving back from vacation. That one's a trooper. At least I didn't do somersaults around the place.

Speaking of children, not on the website menu, but they have a small kids meal selection. Also gave them coloring pages and crayons, drinks with lids. Our server was great and well prepped for their wrath. It's the little things like this that make a big difference. Thanks Rev.

 

Yep more of a general direction than specifics although we're going to have to agree to disagree on 2019 > 2020. I did a blind last year after I got the 20 and was blown away at the difference.

The art on the 19.2oz can (and 12oz going forward?) of Deth's Tar is the sickest fucking art on any barrel aged beer ever. If I was 15 (plus 6) I would want a poster of it in my room.
