Anybody tried Parley Porter yet? Untappd ratings are high for what I assumed would be a divisive flavor profile on paper.

I had a taster of it this weekend. Definitely a tasty, but strange, beer. The taster was plenty enough for me; really wouldn’t want any more of it in one sitting than that. Good share bottle.

I was kind of wondering how it compares to Sweet Liberty. Maybe not at all since it is Rum BA and a Porter. B/d I do not see pineapple too often in stout/porters, seems like it could take over the profile. I'm looking forward to trying it this weekend!

we were more towards the middle but we were right next to one of the pouring stations. I would say your best bet is to try and sit near one of those.

Pretty sure someone teased the vanilla villain base beer with pb cups.

maybe the frustrations that were brought up were more isolated incidents. Been no word from the Bruery team or taking any ownership of wrongdoing. Maybe things went well and just a few ppl slipped through the cracks. I’ll definitely post back here after my session to share how it went and my taster reviews! Very little comment on anything other that BT Oreo Cheesecake.

Went to the taproom today and someone that worked there said first session was a little rough but they made a few adjustments and second session and sunday went smoothly and they're expecting the same this weekend

And I went 2 and 3 for the tasters and gave the light beers to my friend who is more into those than the heavy beers. Got there about 20 minutes late so I was a little behind, and then the hoarders session (which was the highlight) but I was kind of rushing stuff and left a few behind so I made sure I could enjoy a spicy island. For the hoarders session I think I was a bit of the opposite and really enjoyed the 5 then 15 then 30. I'm definitely interested in the barrel ordering project that looks to be happening.

Serious question here... A 5gal barrel is ~25 bottles at 750ml, which assuming BT variant pricing of $40 puts you at $1,000... and I have to assume there's an extra price premium for a special project like this.

Maybe it means I'm not a true Hoarder... But 25 (or 75 or 150) bottles of the same thing? Yikes!

Someone who's into this must either have a secondary sale or trade market lined up, right? Or they like giving gifts or go to weekly bottle shares?

I get that the idea is cool, I'm just genuinely curious how it plays out in real life.

Maybe this is a gripe, but does anyone else feel weird about there being a “tip option” when placing an order for bottles??

Don’t get me wrong… I want to support Bruery staff, but seeing as I already tip generously when I’m in the tasting rooms and try to be as loyal as possible, being asked for a tip when ordering bottles seems a bit excessive. There is a bit of psychology around offering a tip option which makes me think that this was intentional, but I’m not sure.

Again, don’t get me wrong, I’m happy to tip staff… when I’m at the tasting room… but this just felt weird.

I think it's designed more so a bunch of people can go in on it kinda like the Prairie Dawgs project. However, I think that there still will likely be some people that would take an entire barrel.

So I have a small gripe.

Most of the shirts that The Bruery sells are black or dark grey. I do understand that those colors likely sell more but can we get some variety in colors for shirts? Lately I've been wearing lighter colored stuff (since I own a large, long hair, white cat that sheds all over everything I own) and would love to wear more Bruery apparel.

I'm assuming they added for folks ordering local delivery and then it's just there for all purchases. The fact it defaults to zero is notable as opposed to restaurants that will put in a default.

I agree tip on bottle purchase alone doesn't make much sense, but I've started leaving a couple bucks when doing a shipper because there's clearly effort going in there.

Another question on the Anniversary Event.

For the two full pours, is this a choice of the list of beers available in the tasting room? Or there any event specific beers for the pours?

One more question: Since we have hard tickets, does that mean guests can check in on there own? Or do we still need to check in together?

The Tap List my friend sent from Saturday was:
    - Ruekeller: Pilsner
    - Just a Twist
    - Mischief
    - All the Cows
    - Parley Porter
    - Manky Panky
    - Relax
    - Drifting
    - Acier
    - Black Tuesday Spicy Island

I would assume that Acier and BTSI are 5oz pours.
