Did my two closes at work to start the week, so done at 5 the rest of the week. Time for a pre-dinner beer.

That beer looks seriously good! I like IPAs and I like triple IPAs but I found that the sweet spot are double IPAs.

 

Had a taste for a porter, found a winter holdout Bent River Jinge Java. What a wonderful holiday stout. Drinkable in 90+ heat.

 

Sloop Brewing Lupulin Mutant......91 BA score and tasting great. Joining @beergoat with a tequila toast the the greatness of Dusty Hill....

I attended dozens of concerts in my youth. I have the hearing loss and tinnitus to prove it.

The only band I saw in concert that is on your list was Pure Prairie League. Reminded me of Poco. I did not see Jonny Winter but did see Edgar Winter.

 

I'm ready for Oktoberfest beers and weather.

Yea man. At the time when I was drinking this before I was probably drinking stale bombes but on tap it's like somewhere around the real pure hoppiness. Still not on exponential or younger level but not far off.

Saw ZZ Top in Amarillo in 1980 something when they had the fuzzy chaps and guitars and Billy and Dusty would spin them around in sync. "Eliminator" was topping the charts.
I can still remember crossing the Arizona desert heading back to the ship in my old '67 Barracuda hearing a faint song on the AM radio that was so damn good. I would soon learn that was "La Grange" by a new group called ZZ Top from Texas. March 1973. All over KGB FM San Diego. The California boys loved them too.

We just rec'd a couple cases of this yesterday and I wanted to try it fresh for the first time. Off the wagon for a few days and looking forward to some new-to-me beers!

16 ounce, canned 07/12/21.

Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a beautifully bright, light golden body with lacing. Nose of hay/straw with a bit of citrus and ever so slight floral attributes. Taste of hay and slight citrus with a finish of light hop bitterness. Very refreshing and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a super crushable summer blonde.
