Just opening this thread up for a bit more regional specificity compared to the main thread/since the thread @beeragent posted last year was great.

I've yet to see any DFW/Texas märzen releases from brewers which is mildly surprising given that Oktoberfest releases were creeping into the 2nd week of July the past several years. The imports are likely to show up at the end of the month if we don't have any supply issues with the pandemic bleeding over into this year.

Yeah, I was waiting to actually see one show up on the shelf before I started the thread, but hey, lets get it started! Shiner has already released their Oktoberfest to the distributors, but depending on region, is when it will show up. I was told that they still have a ton of Peach Wheat that the distributor has to sell before they'll start stocking the stores. But I've also been told by a few stores that they should have it by next week. Altstadt also has their Oktoberfest out, but it is only currently available at the brewery, with an unknown distribution date. Cibolo Creek Brewing in Boerne tapped their Oktoberfest on July 1st, but they don't distribute. As far as out-of-state breweries go, I know Founders and Left Hand have announced their Oktoberfest to be released in August. I've also seen Untappd check-in's showing Leinenkugel's Oktoberfest to already be out. Aside from that, I'm still waiting for the German imports to arrive (which won't happen soon enough).

Apologies for jumping the gun, I always get too excited for fall seasonals.

Rahr has sent their Okto to distributors and it looks like it's shown up at some local restaurants already which means it'll likely be on the shelves within the week if it isn't already.

Well, I went to return some leftover liquor from my wedding and what else do I find but "fresh" Hacker-Pschorr Märzen (bottled March of 21) sitting on a seasonal endcap. We may have some early luck with imports after all.

I found Hacker Pschorr Oktoberfest Marzen about three weeks ago, at Total Wine, based off the beer finder results on the Paulaner website. I thought it could be an early seasonal, but after some research, it appears Hacker Pschorr makes their "Oktoberfest Marzen" year round now and only releases their "Oktoberfestbier" seasonally.

Just got ahold of one of the best bottle shops in the area and it sounds like Ayinger Oktoberfest should hit sometime within the next 2 weeks, at least in DFW.

For my area, the seasonal creep is actually slow this year. By this time last year, there were at least five Oktoberfest on the shelf, whereas this year we barely have three. Today, Southern Star and Left Hand hit the shelves, along with Real Ale from last week. I’m just not used to it being this slow, but thankful they’re at least showing up. Now where are the German ones? Prost!!

It has been noticeably slow compared to last year. I believe I already had 5-6 locals up to this point and Ayinger was in town roughly this exact week last year.

Big yikes. I'm not a big stickler about Oktoberfests releasing early but pumpkin beer in the dead of summer is pushing it.

Sam Adams Octoberfest just landed in my area. Not the best, and a bit too sweet IMO, but my wife likes it. That makes four distributed Oktoberfest so far, along with two local brewpubs releasing theirs on draft (Cibolo Creek and Longtab). Altstadt has sent theirs to distributors, so just waiting for it to show up.

Altstadt Oktoberfest is now on the shelf. Stave, in New Braunfels, also posted that they have the Paulaner Oktoberfestbier (wiesn), but I have yet to see any German Oktoberfests on the shelf yet, aside from the usual Spaten and Hacker Pschorr.

I finally saw the Paulaner Wiesn this past Tuesday. Still patiently waiting on Altstadt and I've also yet to see Southern Star or Saint Arnold.

After a return to my favorite bottle shop I found the following:
    - Alstadt Oktoberfest
    - 903 Oktoberfest
    - Manhattan Project Oktoberfest (I wasn't aware they were making one this year)
    - Shiner Oktoberfest
    - Sam Adams Octoberfest

Owner said he'd have Ayinger either by today or tomorrow. We're finally hitting our swing.

Just got back from a trip to Tennessee and am now finding a more steady stream of Oktoberfests showing up. Strange thing, Tennessee had Shiner Oktoberfest on their shelves a good week before it showed up in my area (about an hour away from the brewery). Paulaner Oktoberfestbier has finally hit the shelf here too, but so far its only the one liter can/mug, not the four pack, and the only German one I've seen to date. I also saw that Live Oak has released both versions of their Oktoberfest, including their Smoketoberfest, but that may be a brewery release only (but oh so good). I also found this years Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest, so I'm looking forward to trying it when I get home tonight! Prost!!

It looks liks Central Market/HEB have it down there based on this (https://merchantduvin.com/find-our-beer.php). Central Market up in DFW had them today.

I found Avery, Sierra Nevada, Ayinger, Warsteiner and a ton of locals there (as well as a smattering of pumpkin beers).
