Getting tired of spending $5-7 per can on beers. Looking to go cheap the next couple weeks to month or maybe even more. What are some of your favorite mixed 12 or 15 packs readily available around the Boston area? Hops & lagers is what I’m mostly looking for.
Not sure on availability in Boston area but I've been digging the new Zero Gravity andTrapps 12 packs. Also can’t go wrong with Jack Abby
Saw someone else mention the Zero Gravity one. Specifically thinking of that one when I started this thread. I’ll have to look for that one.
It’s not a mixed pack, but I’m on my second 12 pack of Night Shift’s Whirlpool. Terrific low abv beer!
Not a 12-pack, but Radeberger Pilsner Zwickelbier 6-pack is better than pretty much anything I can find these days.
The IPAs from Fort HIll are more affordable than many others. I haven't had one in a while, but I remember them being well with the money in comparison to other NEIPAS
Seconding the Zero Gravity mixed pack. Green State lager is legit. I'm not a huge fan of the DIPA, Madonna - it's decent, but not to my taste. Little Wolf and Conehead are great. Ipswich has a mixed 12 pack in circulation. Found a fresh one last week. Route 101 is an excellent WC IPA and their IPA and pale ale are good as well. Unfortunately, the pilsner is not very good - picking up a lot of off flavors
I’m not quite sure what I paid for it, it wasn’t a lot, but I just got a 12-pack of Lager of the Lakes by Bell’s and holy hell it hit the spot. I was down to 2 cans in one weekend. I’m on Long Island but I see no reason why it shouldn’t be available around you. I second the Radeberger Zwickel too. I’ve now gotten 2 6-packs. They’re getting a little old but they’re still tasting great. $10 for 6 half-liters is great.
Can't agree more. I am becoming a bigger fan of Zero Gravity by the day. When I saw this pack, I had to get it!
I saw Fiddlehead IPA is in 12 packs now. As this is an IPA that I actually enjoy, I’m wondering what kind of freshness they hold. I didn’t check, but is the date clearly marked on the outside of the packaging? How do these hold up? As a non-hoppy beer drinker (mostly … they truly wreck my stomach), I’d enjoy having these in the fridge alongside my White and House. My FIL brought a 12-pack mix of Zero Gravity and the IPA in that was also quite good and was (gasp) about two months old.
Von trapp 12 pk. Loving the addition of the kolsch I’ll be skipping Jacks until that blood orange wheat is gone again.
Also, hard to find fresh and not warm, but I like the Bitburger Prost 8pk of 1/2 liters. Pils, Schwartz, a hoppy malty pale ale and the radler. All for $10. The radler has been a welcome addition to our sangria recipe
Best I can tell, date is sadly not on the outside of the packaging. But the store had a bunch of mid-July 4-packs and figured (especially since the 12x12s are a new thing for Fiddlehead IPA) that the 12-pack would be in that ballpark. 12-pack was canned on 7/14, drinking beautifully. Probably will not last long enough for me to experiment with its longevity.
I recently enjoyed the mixed 12pack from long trail that had 4 different IPAs. Would reccomend as long as you're cool with some of the old school IPA thing. Although the Vermont IPA is more new school ish.
