I'm glad you have a solution to the problem. Cheers.

    Is it killing beer? No.

But it could potentially morph beer into something unrecognizable if this becomes the dominant "style" preferred by the majority of consumers.

Although, I doubt they'll catch on like NEIPA's did.

Personally, while I may like the taste of some "dessert" beers, I can only drink a few sips before it just becomes too much. If I'm going in that direction, I'd rather just have a traditional aperitif or a sweet wine.

My "old" friend, I'm at Red Oak brewery now and digging most of their Team style offerings as well as their bar tenderessess. So far the 1516 hits the spot as well as the Big Oak ( nice of them to name it after my schwantz..lol).

You can find good to great interpretations of the classic styles by American Brewers. Almanac Brewery produced an excellent Kolsch ale.

Ruining? No. Making trends that I personally dislike sometimes such as marshmallow and candy beer? Yes. But that doesn't matter to me. I'll stick to buying whatever I like. I've swung back hard into West Coast style IPAs recently and I'm stoked that they're an American brewing creation.
