Get excited, people! According to their Facebook page, CCB just released some more White Oak Jai Alai! Looks like I picked a good time to be heading to SFL. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...14961974.62585.200038243349595&type=1&theater
depends how much wood flavors you like in beer. Humidor IPA was like spanish cedar in your face. White Oak is a bit more subtle.
Somehow, I never have had the Humidor IPA. I live in the Tampa St. Pete area for 2 years, saw it on the shelves all the time, sent it to a couple trading partners who asked for it, and never once got around to trying it myself. Im disappointed in myself.
dont worry, I waited for a year to try the best local PA ive had. Its even up there in the best Pales ive ever had. maybe better than GLBC Burning River. I put a LoneRider Peacemaker Pale in a mix six, and got mad at myself for waiting so long. Just a hint of bitter citrus rind and a light body. No ZD, but a fantasticly drinkable, yet tasty pale.
Not long at all, in my experience. Sometimes you have to put your name on a list, too. Maybe/hopefully they made more this time.
Had my brother go grab me 12 of these at the brewery yesterday. Merry xmas to me! This is another wonderful variation of Jai Alai. And CCB seems to be brewing much bigger batches nowadays, so hopefully this one is around for a bit
IMO yeh, It's a little different but if I had to choose between the two I'd take White oak every day. Love this beer, had some of it at the brewery on Friday and came home with 2/4pks.
This is a special beer. Had a bottle at Mermaid Juice in Mt Dora, Fl and later on draft at Oblivion Taproom in Orlando. Probably need to drive to CC to get some bottles
