FWIW -- I saw Sam Octo 12-packs side-by-side with Sam's Summer seasonal 12-packs yesterday, so not all distros are following the "wait till it's gone" steps.

So, now we're complaining about no season creep???:sunglasses::stuck_out_tongue:

To be fair I haven't gone everywhere in my usual circuit for hunting beer, but I am one to always check behind on the shelf for newer packs. I've been noticing a ton of unsold Sam Summer Ale, I think its less of an appreciated style and that more people go for light lagers or other wheat ales like Blue Moon.

I recognize this is a 'tongue in cheek' comment but the problem is the Sweater Weather variety pack is already completed and having it just sit (in less than ideal conditions?) at the various Wholesale Distributors is not doing these beers any favors from a beer quality perspective. Ideally these beers would be bottled a month or so from now and then put into distribution but...

    Cheers!

While I agree with that, and it's a beer I've never quite liked, it comes out again every summer. Not sure how it really sells, but there it is.

It was more the "royal we".

    Is that even a thing?

I thought a "royal wee" was when a princess urinates?
Different spelling? Yeah, that's the British version.

No (real) royalty in this country. We's all created equal.

Thanks for the heads up. I will definitely be on the lookout for it.
I want to see how it compares to Victory Fest Bier. My favorite domestic Fest style lager by far.
Kind of a joke because nobody makes a proper "Festbier" domestically that I have ever seen other than Victory, and damn is it good!

I'm fortunate enough to have a couple local breweries making good versions of Festbier -- go local!

What makes the Victory beer “proper” in your eyes? You’ve rated some other US “Oktoberfests” rather highly.

If I recall correctly Victory’s is more amber than pale too.
