Imprint’s version of Written In The Stars imperial stout collab with Mortalis. Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee, double coconut, and Equadorian cacao nibs.

Oh baby! Poured cold to a tulip, it’s shiny oily black with a bunch of discernible coconut floaters. Nose is like you open a freshly fallen coconut on a beach, while you had some fresh JBM coffee brewing on a fire. First sips are INTENSE but smooth coffee, hearty, chewy coffee. Right behind that is INTENSE coconut, fresh, pulpy, sweet coconut. Throughout all that as an overlay is the cacao but nib flavor…slightly acidic, with a chocolate liqueur presence. Mouthfeel is chewy and syrupy. It’s a prominent dark malt base with all the adjuncts clearly and deliciously present in their own rights. Alcohol is not biting, though there is a fair amount of warming, plus the chocolate liqueur aspect gives the insinuation of the 11% ABV. Great stuff. Glad I bought six!

I would have put the emphasis on the “some”, but it seems that things have changed. The Paranormal Super Sonic has gotten a lot of good reaction, other than tuning stability concerns. That led me to the Toronado with the through-body fixed bridge.
