Just imagining half full cans of Haze and Green being left on tables. People saying “ewww this beer is terrible” It would drive me insane if I dropped ~$2000 on beer for a wedding....but that’s just me.

Right - but $2000 means a different thing to you than it does to some people.

I guess no one thinks this is a big step. I think it is great to now be able to get a 4 pack and that 1 beer PP.

Going to Sandwich for first time on Thursday on the way on Cape. Is it pretty much in and out with no/limited wait? Trying to manage family filled car of expectations. Also, are they selling out of time slots often? Plan to order on the drive from CT (and I usually do the driving) so want to know how far in advance I need to guess my rough arrival time.

It’s tricky, and this is the question that seemed to rile everyone up when I asked. You can request a certain time slot, once you place your order, and they are only 15-minute time slots. But, if the time slot you’re looking for is filled up, then you have to find one that isn’t filled up (and I have no idea how many customers fill a time slot). That’s the problem when you’re arriving from a long distance and, especially, with a family.

I ordered my beer on a Friday before they opened from a hotel in Hyannis, and the earliest time slot I could get was 12:15. I was already situated where we were staying and was able to make my time slot no problem. I think the longest they’ll hold your beer for is an additional 15 minutes or they’ll refund you. I hope that helps a little.

I can see this replacing the line that says keep cold and drink fresh.

This seems like a policy that's destined to change as soon as a few people run late for various legitimate reasons and the complaints start.

You start to see why a lot of places begin distribution. There's just so many people arriving at once to buy custom cases of beer, that there's no way to stop congestion. I was thinking they need a separate building that's can sales only, but they kind of have that the way it's segmented off from the bar/drinking area.

This exactly. I'm driving three cases from The Veil up to Maine the first week of September for my sister-in-laws wedding. Planning to stop through Treehouse for a couple cases to add to it. Fairly young couple who are really just getting started with their lives and don't have a whole lot to spend on booze for the reception so they have asked people to bring their own alcohol or a bottle they would not mind sharing. Best part, she has no idea what I am bringing! Should be a good time.

I'm doing the same thing as @EDNOSE in a few weeks and was hoping to stop at Tree House on my way onto the cape. A 30 minute window can be pretty tight coming from 5 hours away, though. How long did it take for you to get your order after arriving at your time slot?

Obviously every day is different but I had the time today to try to answer some of my question (I think). At 12:01 I put something in my cart and went to checkout. 12:10 and every 15 minute time (12:15, 12:30, 12:45, etc. until close) were provided as options for pick up times. I'm sure other days could be different, but if I were driving today, it looks like I could narrow it down now based on where I was once I knew if we were down to one more pee break for the kids before we crossed the bridge!

Of course, then I read this which could be read (?) as all times always show up and you don't know until you check out if actually available. Anyone know?

I added items to my cart but when I tried to check out I could not?
In our locations (Sandwich) that have beer to go time slots, once the time slots are filled the store will not allow additional orders. In other words, if you are encountering this error, we are sold out for the day. You must wait until the next day to order - you cannot order a day in advance.

Oh, it’s quick. They run it like a well-oiled machine. Someone greets you in the parking lot (HA, to whoever joked that I needed to be shown where to park), you click an icon on your confirmation e-mail that you’re there, and another employee runs it out to you. It’s actually quite impressive.

You just have to get the time slot you want (or as close to it as you can).

You could pick any of those time slots and they can respond that “those time slots are filled.” You unfortunately won’t know what’s filled until you click the time you want.

I filled an order about a half-hour after the ordering for Sandwich began (it was a month ago so I don’t remember exactly), which I want to say they start at 9am, could have been 10, and the earliest time slot I could get was 12:15. They opened at 11 that day. Looking at Google, they seem to be open 7 days of the week now, and open a little earlier. A month ago, they were only opened Wed-Sun.

Yeah, definitely have expanded the hours for sure. Today, at noon, every slot thereafter still showed as clickable. I tried a few and clicked pay now and it took me to the payment screen in each case so I took that to mean they were available. I will find out for sure tomorrow!
