BG Woodman's. No Spaten, Ayinger, or HB's yet, but Weihenstephan is here (which I ended up getting). I looked for CLB you recommended, but it's not there yet, however Metro's Afterburner is on the sheves.

Never been a big O Fest drinker, many gave just been too sweet. I did drink some SN a few years back that was a collab. These were not bad and I enjoyed them. Since I am much more interested in lagers now than I was then I want to try this beer if I see a single or a six for $10.

    Enjoy

Enjoy a Weihenstephaner Festbier and get back to us. It is so quaffable for many of us, it's hard to just have one.

So, Samuel Adams and Shiner Oktoberfest beers showed up and I passed on both. Where the hell are the Germans??

Paulaner, Spaten, Weihenstephaner(Festbier)....them are the Germans I speak of and which have been in town before. Tricks are for kids.

    Just joshing with you.

FWIW there are plenty of German brewed Oktoberfest beers sitting on the floors of my local beer retailers. I personally will not be drinking Oktoberfest beers for another couple of weeks; Oktoberfest beer drinking season for me starts on (or about) Labor Day Weekend. Too stinkin' hot now, for my beer drinking preferences. YMMV.

    Cheers!

Well, personally, I would be grabbing them while they are freshish.

Some were packaged in March. Freshish is stretching things here IMO.

    Cheers!

    Or before they're gone.

If they ever show, that is.

So, to quote Yosemite Sam, "Wait jest a durn minute!"

$2 more for the Amber Marzen than the Fest? Two beers that have been indistinguishable in blind tastings? @AlcahueteJ

Something odd going on here. Last year they were both priced the same (IIRC).

Hey, I preferred the Weisen last year. Win, win. :stuck_out_tongue:

Still none around me and I doubt it will be since all the imports are already here. Lucky for me I visited my friend in maryland for a night and grabbed a four pack :beers:

I’ll add I had one last night, what a treat, as opposed to the one liter fest cans we had last year.

Funny you mention this. Drank a 6er of Sly Fox’s and a case of Yuengling’s Oktoberfest in the last few weeks. Really enjoyed both, but picked up a 15 pack of Flying Fish’s Salt and Sea Gose variety pack today. Might as well enjoy the Summer beers while I can. Cheers buddy!

    Wiesn.

But hell, Paulaner doesn't even call it that anymore.

Just looking even closer at the sale cards put up by the store -- one is 11.2 ounces, the other 12 -- *there's* the value!

Funny how different states get the beers out to retail in different ways....have seen plenty of German imports - and have bought 6 of them thus far, and I think 8 different US brewed marzen / festbiers.....here in NE Ohio there are a plethora of Okto-fest brews and I am personally drinking them NOW and enjoying them.....for those who think "it's too hot".....these are lagers, not big Impy stouts, right? And the "freshness ****s" - so, you can really tell the difference between a German beer brewed in March / April timeframe, and one brewed in July? Yeah, right....not buying that!
