Thanks for kicking things off today @Ozzylizard ! Starting the second half of my saison after making and having breakfast and going through yesterday's thread.

Full review in NBS. Long story short. this is a very bold flavored saison, well balanced, very glad I have 3 more cans.

Great pics and beers yesterday @RaulMondesi and @eppCOS , safe travels home. What were your favorite beers during the trip?

 

Hey @ChicagoJ - tough call and question but HA High and Dry, Spiteful Working for the Weekend, and Rev Supermassive Cafe Deth were awesome... but I was really surprised by how great the Forbidden Root beers were yesterday. Yes, hazy, but absolutely delicious beers.

Cool, I haven't been to Forbidden Root since pre-COVID, but your picks and reports from yesterday have me plotting to return for happy hour this week. You had a lot of great beers, I need to try High and Dry.

Great meeting you as well, and safe travels home! (Suffered the O'Hare terminal far too many times for work to count). Rhapsody in Blue is dead to me.

Great beer to drink after watching La Belle Noiseuse (The Beautiful Troublemaker).

 

Morning all, courteous of @colby600 I am enjoying this . . .

Fox Farm Brewery Sway American Lager

Clear light yellow color with a big rocky white cap that quickly dissipates.

Aroma of clean, sweet grain and tangerine fruit sprinkled with lemon zest. There are hops in there but the hop scent is well covered up.

Taste on entry is full, rich grain and surprisingly hoppy. Bittering hops of some variety that announce their presence with a trumpet blast yet are not overpowering in any way, rather melding effortlessly with the grain. I actually get more hops in the aftertaste than in scent or flavor but hop presence does not rise above the role of a support player.

Medium texture with balancing carbonation that has a touch more than it needs.

Overall this is an outstanding American Lager.
