We are planning to be in Kalamazoo the weekend of 9/25 (SJSU vs Western Michigan Football Game). Hope to pick up some BBA 35th Anniversary!

 

Still on for being in The Eccentric sometime the week of 9/20-25. Barring any more 'rona foolishness.

 

This is all great news. But if I'm being honest with myself, the specter of a DB Expedition is going to haunt my dreams until it happens.

 

Now for an update you almost certainly don't need: 35th Anny Expo Reserve is drinking beautifully.

Bottle. I've never seen this on tap, not that I get out a lot with 3 kids 7 and under.

The earthiness I find prominent with regular Expo was there but an afterthought compared to a rounded vanilla note. Completely absent alcohol presence. Nothing mind blowing but very very good, and clearly related to, but significantly different enough from, the regular version.

Seriously though, I'd dislike it myself. I'm just glad they got back to me because im off that weekend and was considering going up to score some.

 

Bells just announced Uberon 4 packs are making there way to the shelves in limited distribution, this month. I'm pretty excited for this one!

 

This summer is the first time I’ve got to try Double Two Hearted. I’m now 3 six packs in (not strictly tonight, c’mon) — it’s definitely one of my top beers of the year.

 

Any Uberon sightings yet? It's supposed to hit shelves this week. If anyone in the Greater Escanaba area sees it, let me know. I'll have my family pick me up a 4-pack.

I honestly can't remember for sure but I think the board is 'all stouts'. The definitive answer lies here: @TheeWarPig

 

All stouts day also coincides with the day we fall back on the clocks. That extra hour of sleep will come in handy.

Edit: that must be last year's tap list. All Stouts is usually on the first Sunday of November, which is the 7th.

Aww, never mind. That is when daylight savings time ends. I'm thinking of the Autumnal Equinox on September 22nd.
