    The coincidence that @JamFuel starts this thread and me sipping on Mikkeler for the first time is nice. Their Modern IPA here, which is quite alright… and I assume fresh enough with a BB date like Nov 2022:

    Have you really never had a Mikkeller before? I thought they got to every nook and cranny of Europe!

    Of course I knew about them, but have never had the chance to see it on the shelves and wasn’t too sure if they were worth getting an online order from.

    Pretty good stuff but they have brewed dozens of beers so that’s the tip of the iceberg so far.

    Mikkeller are usually good, but seldom great, in my opinion. Not really stuff to seek out, but good enough if you can get it for a fair price.

    Good day BAs! Thanks @JamFuel for kicking off today's thread - seems a bit early for pizza but I guess it's about 1450 your local time, so not so early. I totally agree about Mikkeller. Today's Breakfast Beer is sort of local (being from PA, anyway):

    I'll swear that I can taste meringue as well as key lime - I liked this one so well when I first tried it that I bought some more.

    The Leprechaun Pub in Karlstad is a distinctly Swedish kind of bar, even though it seems like an Irish pub. This is what I would call a Swedish dive bar. Everything is well worn, including the regulars. Macro beer and standard pub food. They pour a decent Guinness, though! Love this kind of place.

    It was still 81 degrees with a higher humidity rate when I went out for a brisk walk before 11PM last night. Don't like using the AC, used to never use it but now I turn in on in the mid 80s +. Hoping it cools off this weekend and throughout September.

    Nice easy beer for today, it's always best to drink to the season (light / hot, heavy / cold).

    An English bitter now, and a good one at that. Just needed something low-ABV.

    It was brewed for the first time in 1990, to mark the fifty years anniversary of the victory over Kent hence this beer’s name:

    This one is on the shelves here too. Also two others; Heated Seats (Pale Ale) and Ever Green (IPA). All cans. This Blow Out IPA is the best I think.

    Buying Mikkeller from the shelves is the best way to go prisewise. I used to get some of their beers (mostly Mikkeller - San Diego) online. But online beer from Copenhagen comes with a heavy (tax) price tag.

    Browsing the Mikkeller online store can be interesting, even without buying anything.

    I like to get back to the area of Karlstad some day. Stayed in Säffle for a couple of days early last year. The town is not very special, but the lake is. Biggest in Europe.

    I have an aunt and uncle in Säffle. Just hung out with my cousin for a little while, too. Nice part of the country overall.
