QIPA perfection

 

Brewing Projekt Obtain Intellect Raspberry/Mandarin Fruit Sour, 8.3% ABV. Pours thick and murky red with a one-finger pink head that left puree residue. Nose is raspberry and mandarin, taste follows moderately sweet, slightly tart, and slightly bitter orange zest. Thick and smooth mouthfeel, overall extra excellent.

At one point while drinking this, it brought to mind cough syrup, but I like cough syrup. Could be the sweet/sour/bitter and fruity combination.

 

#2, continuing the Lagerpalooza, this is one of the smoothest drinking beers I’ve ever had, and is absolutely outstanding, IMHO. Exceptionally well done.

 

A big after dinner beer....why not?

Dangerous beer right here. Citra and Galaxy mingling with a Trappist ale yeast makes for all sorts of wild and great flavors. Not sure when this one was bottled but the dust and lower price on the shelf makes me think it’s spent some time at the beer store, which isn’t a bad thing for this style!

 

The growler is almost empty. Changing up from DIPA to one of my favorite lagers (brewed by Kona).

When I finish the growler I gotta think of a good song to post with it.

 

I hear you. I have a sailor over there in support of those Marines. Keep those men and women in your thoughts and prayers.

 

I liked a number of IPLs but then they just seemed to disappear.

Altho my Mets are in a downward spiral, we are still mathematically alive :-). Drnking a freshie from Tonewood Brewing called All in Time and hoping the Mets bats make that true. Jersey brewery but its right across the bridge from Philly. Cheers
