Circa 2018/2019 seeing the full beer slate upfront was essential for me. But, now that I can do Bruery-only and not worry how much sunk cost I'll have into sours I don't want, and after back-to-back fantastic years in 2020/2021, I honestly have no reservations rolling the dice for 2022.

Not too jazzed about the banana beer, but whatever. Stick it into the cellar and at some point there will be a share opportunity. I am however very excited to see a variant on Chaucer, as well as a re-use of the Furst base.

Firestone's Tequila Sunrise is fantastic, so very interested to see what direction this colab takes.

I wonder if the BT Blender's Reserve will be what they do with any of those small batch barrels they can't sell?

I agree. With the Bruery-only option and the overall high level of quality the past couple years, I have no hesitation in joining again. To be fair, I'm not sure what I am expecting them to share that is really going to seem new/exciting at this point.

If they continue making more use of the Monster Base, add a few new BT treatments, some double-barrel riffs on established beers, and a mix of strong ale and barleywine options, I expect to be happy.

    I'm in for another year.

HS is still my favorite beer membership.

Can someone elaborate on which beers have the “Monster” base, and/or is there a beer that’s only Monster with no adjuncts?

So far it has only been used for Vanilla Villain and Sorry not Sorry, so it is new this year. Not aware of any non-adjunct version but would like to try it!

    Definitely in again.

OT: has anyone heard anything about the bags us members were supposed to get for holding our anniv tickets for a year?

The bags were distributed at this year's anniversary event. One bag per ticket holder.

Related topic, Has anyone heard about the credit / refund for unused funds?

    For example:
    4 tickets for 2020 = $400
    4 tickets in 2021 = $300.
My understand was that in this case there would be a $100 credit.

Are you talking about the the insulated bag for previous year's ticket holders or the plain cloth bags for everyone? All attendees got a cloth bag but they said the insulated bags weren't ready yet and would send us separate info when available. I attended first weekend and did not get the insulated bag.

Parley Porter is one of my favorite Bruery beers in a while, I get that it's not for everyone, but damn...

So with the auto-renewal, you’re stuck with whatever option you chose this year (Bruery only, terreux only, mixed) ?

Any rumblings on issues with “Satisfies”? Buddy had one said it was off, some reviews on untappd say the same thing, the one in my cellar says “temporary unfilliable”, clearly something going on

I was referring to the insulated bag. I attended the second week. By the second week, they had the bags available at the event.

Sounds like they still owe the people that attended the first event.

I have an odd question for the person who runs the societies. Does anyone remember who that is?

I split mine over the past two nights and it was great. Did have a few floaties, but not a hint of off flavor.

I went first week and never got an email. They did give me one when I went in to pick up an order a couple weeks later and asked about it.

I personally didn’t enjoy it, but it didn’t taste off to me, just too sweet.
