If anyone in DC area is looking to split my Hoarders membership, DM me. I want to stay in, but am finding beers over 15% in 750s less and less appealing.

Thanks! I wish they'd post those full details on Twitter since I'm not on IG/FB.

Has anyone had Big Blue Stacks and Blue Steel? What are your thoughts on them?

I really had higher expectations for Blue Stacks. It was VERY sweet and felt the maple was over the top. I remember their video said a little maple flavoring was used and I felt like I could taste it. Maybe in my head b/c I saw the video. I loved Blueberry Pancake BT, FWIW. At 750 mL, I'd probably have to make this the last beer of the night and share with at least 7-8 ppl. A little buyers remorse I bought 4 bottles at that price.

That is close to the norm for fruit slushie beers or whatever you want to call them

With the member discount, yes. But $30 is quite a bit higher. I compare it to Alvarado Bubble Bath or Biggie's. Both have similar ABV and amounts of fruit. $20-$22 at the brewery. I paid $24 at a local store, just because I didn't want to drive an hour and a half round trip.

I realize the Bruesicles base is barrel aged. At my discount it's $24 but I've got freight at over a $1 a can. So I'm back up to $30 before tax.

That being said, I got a 4 pk of each. I only got to try DFG back when they shipped the last time. So, it's worth the experience. I don't know if I would do it all the time.

I’m just curious… I got one of those 16oz Bruery DC growlers (as more of a souvenir from my East Coast trip)… could I ever get it filled at The Bruery/Terreux tap rooms? I think 16oz fills would be epic for the heavier beers. I’d love to use it in the future.

It varies by state, but I'm sure as long as it has the Bruery logo it shouldn't be an issue.

It was actually pretty interesting when I moved to Oregon, people were filling mason jars and empty plastic pepsi bottles at breweries.

I just cracked a Where is the Lava? and was pretty happy with this. Gonna pick up some more. I was hoping it would be closer to BBLs (which I like) than Tart of Darkness (which I don't like). The hopes won.

With all the talk about limited shelf life and exploding cans, the Pimbo and DFG I got from yesterday's sale were canned on 8/11 and the mangos were canned on 9/2? What changed? I assume they aren't as volatile as before?

I am enjoying Charms. I'm not a huge fan of Mango fruit. However, the sour base coupled with the vanilla really gives me more of an orange flavor.

I believe exploding cans aren't an issue if refrigerated. But keep it in the fridge too long, anything could happen! Case in point, a joose crowler that was in my fridge for a few months - it blew up one day randomly. Heard a loud sound in my fridge, and found a crazy mess.

Also I've noticed these fruited smoothie style are best fresh. Totally makes sense.

I'll eventually get over the style, especially when it's $6-$8 a can.

But for now Mango charms...is our favorite around.

Agreed about the Elvis BT. I absolutely loved that beer, have we seen it in bottles? If not, we need to see it.

I am on the East Coast, but the heavily fruited low ABV fruit smoothies are normally $28 or so here. Veil's are $26-$30 and Answer does them $10/each.

Fairly certain it was anniversary party only, and maybe limited crowlers?
