I hate nelson. Every day, I hate nelson a little bit more than the day before.

I’m not attacking anyone here; it was just something that I needed to say. Those times when Shaun gets a C-5 full of Southern Hemisphere hops airlifted in from New Zealand and feels compelled to put Nelson in fucking everything just makes me want to slit my wrists in a warm bathtub.

I’m not saying you’re wrong, even though you obviously are. I’m just saying it’s a goddam waste of beer ingredients. OK, I’m done…

Potential first time visitor to Hill Farmstead this month and I'm hoping some of you could help me figure out the logistics:
    1. The website has conflicting information that its taproom is closed but it is still taking reservations through tock. Which one is right?
    2. I'm planning on passing through HF on Friday 10/22 but I see on the tock site reservations are available only for standing room that period. Do you know when the seated reservations become available?
    3. Do you know where I can see what on site bottles will be offered then or what's on tap?
    Thanks in advance!

In my understanding the tap room is intact open. You can only go with a reservation and I believe they do not have seated only spots as the taproom is that small. and the bottle/tap list is new everyday and not posted online. That being said I highly suggest going if you haven’t been. It is pricey for sure but my visit was one of my top 3 beer experiences.

Not sure on the exact details but seated reservations are release in advance, already full for 10/22. I’ve heard they may add more outdoor reservations(this might be the standing room?) closer to the day if the weather is looking good. To go options are typically listed at the beginning of the week, with the option to pre buy the morning of your visit.

    2. I don't think it matters, at least not when I went. People were milling about throughout the taproom and outside, switching from tables inside, standing on the porch, etc.

    1. I don't see anything on the website that the taproom is closed, other than the button that says it is Closed Today. It says that the taproom is reservation only, which is correct. Reservations are for Wednesday, Th, F only, from 12-5pm.

    2. Seated reservations have already been booked up, but more could become available if people cancel. The seated space in the taproom is not large. There is also a covered wraparound porch and a covered outdoor seating area that you can use.

    3. They do not post the onsite draft/bottle list themselves. You can sometimes find people online who have posted the day's offerings. Check around (untappd, facebook, here) on that Thursday 10/21 and if you see one somewhere it will probably be very similar to Friday's list.
They announce new to-go releases on Friday evenings, for the following week. So they will announce new releases this Friday, 10/15 for the week you are going. They do not update the To-go order page until ordering becomes live, which will be Wednesday, 10/19. And that will be updated each day in the event something runs out.

If anyone has a reservation for 10/22 and their plans are changing and they cant make it shoot me a BM if you want to transfer it over. Will refund your donation if you want or match it to the charity of choice etc. Can also mule if that helps

Same request for Friday 11/5. Need to head up there to grab a keg and would love to have a beer while we are on site. Any extra tickets? Thanks in advance.

They usually add reservations each week depending on staffing, so check the week you’re going if you strike out. Unless it has changed in the last week or two. Also, if you don’t have a reservation they have been allowing you to buy one pour per person, either Edward or Memoria when I was last there.

I’m headed up there in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know which of their line up is most suitable for someone with an absolutely massive schlong? Thanks in advance.

OK, in retrospect this appears to be a humble brag. I was just trying to illustrate that this is a business trip... and I'd love to add a leisurely element to the pick up.

Rumor has it they are about to release a new series called “Boast and Exaggeration”. You should submit a selfie for the label.
