I’m sure that everyone that cares and is able to make it is well aware, but

    DB TWCP Derivation (2020)

Is available for onsite (bottles) today.

I am grateful to someone for letting me split a bottle and have 1 5-7oz pour. (I paid, I just am a lightweight and don’t really want to have 12oz when I have a drive ahead of me.)

I believe it is a vanilla Stout aged in Bourbon and Brandy barrels

which is interesting, because at one point i thought the intention was to do rum barrels, vanilla & coffee every 5th entry.

Hope everyone who Zwanze'ed had a good time! What was everyone's favorite pour? While I didn't attend, my buddy said Coco Vibes did it for him.

    Best beer: Derivation 15
    Most interesting beer: Zwanze 2020

I thought it was so cool that there were so many of the collaboration beers from the other breweries, like The Floue Floue, Coex Purple, Avec de Amis, Jammy. It was a really great event that Rachel and the team put on.

Hmm a flight to MO is cheaper than buying one secondary to drink. Yes I looked into it.

I guess this will be the indicator if we’re going back to IP yet or not

Seems like online and packages are here to stay and some harder to get bottles they will also make available IP at the cellar to keep locals happy. I don’t think they’ll ever go back to encouraging 500+ people to line up down multiple blocks in Maplewood. I mean why would you when you’re going to sell the same amount of beer anyways.

500+ seems like a gross overestimation to me. and while i see your point on discouraging crowds, at the same time when the tasting room and cellar are now back open they won’t sell the same amount of beer (draft / on-site) by not having in-person releases.

plus, as employees go, i am thinking they’d rather sell bottles IP to customers than pack up orders to go (but i could be wrong about that).
