Also an added bonus if you park in the neighborhood, quesabirria from Flo's Kitchen taco truck in the alley at 3335 N. Troy. This is the same taco truck that used to park just south of Rev on Kedzie a couple years ago.

 

I just realized that Rev went back to a non-hazy IPA for Farm to Fist. This is great news!

 

Stopped by the taprooom because I was intrigued by Port Phillip:

This unfiltered, barrel-lagered Baphomet Bock rested for one year in a single French oak American Port barrel in our cooler. Supple tannin follows the gentlest expression of vanilla, bread crust, and graham, readying the palate for each next sip. Do live deliciously.

...for me, the base beer was DOMINATED by the port. If I really reached, I noted some bread-y flavors, but methinks that was my Rev FupaGod homer-ism shining through.

I didn't know that Revolution got Port barrels! Wish they would do some straight jacket in port barrels. That would be delicious!

Before we start drowning in Deth's Tar posts I just wanted to say that I had Hazy Hero over the weekend for the first time in a while and holy cow that's a very tasty beer.

 

For those who know the recent DW release rules better than I do: they'll hold your order for a reasonable number of days past release weekend, correct? I'll be out of town for the November release weekend but I'll be able to order online and pickup the week following the release?

 

They work with you on this stuff. Just follow up with an email after you get your confirmation.

Really looking forward to this year's releases. If they're anywhere near the quality of last year's we're in for (another) treat. Especially excited for VSOR since I love Ryeway and its the only VSOx I haven't tried.

 

@GuyFawkes has it right - they are easy to work with. They typically announce you have 10 days for pickup after the first available day of pickup (so if available on 10/15, everyone has until 10/25). BUT - if you need additional assistance just contact them AFTER you purchase with your order number and info. CHEERS!
