Beachwood Brewing (2021)

Grabbed 2 4-packs yesterday. It's fantastic. Also had the Hops of Brixton on cask which was also fantastic

 

So good.

 

Hoperbolic has made it on tap to Portland. Also some cans of Amalgamator dated 8/30.

 

But you got all that wet stuff going on.

 

Yeah, but I'm not going to pass up a great WCIPA. I'm glad we get Beachwood up here every once in awhile.

 

Blast from the freaking past: Control Malt Delete is on tap. Guess I'll have to go grab a pint and pick up a 4pk of the CCBA collab

 

Anybody got 2 extra ticket for zwanze tomorrow? Hail Mary but really trying to go

 

How was Zwanze? Worth making it over for leftovers…?

 

I doubt there's anything left at this point except maybe the Brettrave Zwanze which tasted like garbage. Everything else was fantastic

Fresh Simcoe. That smell always hits you in the nose when you first open the can. Fresh? Man.

 

A couple years ago, my local bottle shop would get Citraholic and Amalgamator four-packs that were 1-4 days old, and I'd buy them all the time. Then that store closed, and almost anytime I find those on a shelf at other shops, they're 2-6 months old.

I finally found some two-week-old Amalgamator a couple weeks ago. Such a treat.

When they're frosh, I like Citraholic and Amalgamator better than almost all of the pricey/rare WCIPAs that come around.

 

Seems to be the case that Stone gets/sends out older packages of them.
I have a guy who comes into my store convinced that he gets headaches if Amalgamator/Citraholic are older than a month and a half.
I've had to explain to him twice now that about a month old is as fresh as I seem to get them so if it is such a concern for him, buy them from the brewery.

 

If your nearby any of the Windsor stores or Mr K’s get your gator CitraH fix there. It’s always fresh. Don’t trust TW or most other places.

 

We get a drop in Chicago each Fall, and they are usually a couple weeks old at most, though to be honest they hold on well if refrigerated. Hoping Beachwood also sends Mocha Machine and a keg or two or Hops of Brixton and one or two others next month.
