They have three Vegas locations, but the one closest to the Strip is on 6261 Dean Martin Dr Las Vegas, NV. They have mostly haze, milkshake IPAs and pastry stouts, but typically a couple others as well.

Anybody have recommendations for non-beer activities? Best places to eat? Must see shows/tours? We are hoping to get to the Hoover Dam, but really only want to book if the interior is open. We also have a guided kayaking trip planned. We are staying on the strip and don't plan to rent a car.

It depends on what you’re into but there used to be a piano bar on top of the stratosphere tower that I enjoyed (circa 2000). More recently we are sure to hit giordanos in front of Bally’s, the best sports books (circa, westgate, etc…), but this time of year I’d just focus on how to sneak beer into the pool area. I miss old Vegas

Would suggest the Vegas Message Board for tons of ideas based on your show, food and entertainment preferences, and other interests.

Not sure if this is your first trip to Vegas, but would definitely take a few hours to check out Fremont Street Downtown, can also hit a few breweries there or in the Arts District which is between the Strip and Downtown. Can take the Strip Deuce bus or a Uber type ride.

Gambling wise the Strip has rolled out poor "blackjack" games paying 6/5 or 1/1, stick with 3/2 or don't play. Soft lower limit poker games and tournaments can be found. Machines are the same (money suckers) everywhere. They haven't ruined craps odds for the most part, so worth playing if you like that.

Hope you have fun on your trip, and let us know what you enjoyed most beer and vacation wise, will help others.

    Viva Las Vegas!

Made it back from Vegas and had a great time! As others have mentioned earlier, craft beer on the strip is almost non-existent, and when you can find it, expect to pay $9-10. Didn't think I would have much to report back until our last day where we ventured just north of the strip and downtown.

Banger Brewing on Fremont St. had great examples of more classic styles. Cool setup as you leave (or enter) Fremont St.
Able Baker was probably my favorite, just north of the strip. Good blend of Hazy, sour, and traditional styles. We had a small appetizer from the restaurant inside and would recommend their food as well. Their taproom opens completely into their brewhouse, they were mid-way through a brew day while we were there.
HUDL was a nice stop for "non-beer-flavored-beer." Very smooth drinking, fruit forward beers (not solely, that just seems to be what we ordered this visit). They could easily sneak up on you for sure. They allow outside food as well.
Hop Nuts was enjoyable as well, with some classic Belgian styles and a clean, west coast style IPA. Smaller, darker, vibe but would definitely go back.
Nevada Brew Works is probably last on my list. The beers we ordered just weren't to my liking in comparison to all the others we tried prior. Nothing particularly notable to me here.

In the non-beer activities list, definitely check out http://www.kayaklasvegas.com/
We chose the 12 mile kayak tour of the Colorado river. You get to put in at the base of the Hoover Dam and get some nice Dam history as well as history and facts about the area. All while taking in great views and enjoying some hot springs and side hikes. Ask for Neil the tour guide, he was great!

    @ChicagoJ - flying out to Vegas for work convention. Since I'm staying in the middle of the strip and no car I'm thinking;
    Ellis Island
    Beer & Tacos
    Trustworthy
    Able Baker
    Yardhouse at the Linq
Beer Zombies (last day I can probably get to the Dean Martin location)

Any places in those areas that I'm missing?

I have no experience with Beer & Tacos or Trustworthy, and Yardhouse only through other locations. They will likely work for an hour or two excursion between gambling, shows, dining, etc.

If you have more time and want to limit travel to right off the Strip/walking, I’d suggest one night hitting Ellis Island’s Front Yard, and if you still have time Tuscany’s Craft Beer Bar which is further down Flamingo but not too far.

If you have time to venture further, I’d suggest the Arts District (The Silver Stamp, Able Baker and HopNuts or Beer District Brewing) first. Second choice would be Fremont Street (Banger Brewing, might find good drafts at Pizza Rock or Atomic, Boars Head Bar at Main Street Station and Chicago at 4 Queens are so so but you can gamble and get comped on premised brewed beer). I like Tenaya Creek as well but you’ll probably want to take Uber or cab (I walk it but it can be homeless sketchy).

The Deuce strip bus will take you to the Arts District and Fremont Street. My top recommendation would be Silver Stamp / Able Baker and the other two Breweries I mentioned plus CraftHaus.

Beer Zombies is great if you are seeking Slushies and Haze, they’ll likely also have BA stouts.

I'll second Ellis. Their beer is much better than it had been and their bbq is great.. Too bad you'll be too early for their Holiday Nog.

    Just got back last night.
Ellis Island - beer was okay, but at $3 a pint its an insanely good deal. And the $6.99 steak and eggs breakfast is by far the best deal you will get on food.
Beer Park - on top of Hexx Kitchen at Paris, these folks had plenty of good taps (30). You also get to see the Bellagio water show from a great view. Prices are steep, but its an option.
Pub 365. Easily the best place I went to for beer. So many options, happy hour prices were $3.65 pints for select drafts, and the food was solid pub grub at great prices. I had nachos and two pints for $17. Even saw some of the team from Revision Brewing there.

Mention - Burger Brasserie in the Pairs\Bally's walkthrough had decent stuff from 7-5 brewing and Tenaya Creek and is a great spot to watch the games.

Been following this thread for a while. Going out to Vegas on Thursday 10/22 to 10/25 for the Eagles/Raiders game. Looking for cans/crowlers/bottles to bring back to Philly. Any suggestions? Staying at Caesars.

This thread has been very helpful. Wife and I will heading to Vegas for a Wine Spectator event in early December, and it would be great to have a beer or three to break up the vino monotomy.
