Toppling Goliath (2021)

I was going to ask here, honestly. I've only ever had 16 Assassin, and never had KBBS. Anyone with any insight on better vintages?

 

I thought I heard bad things about KBBS 21? Can anyone confirm or deny?

After KBBS, I was thinking the assassin 2 pack would be the most sought after choice. Are people just assuming that will be long gone?

 

Got a ticket. A buddy of mine and I are trying to make the trip a day trip from MSP (with a lot of drinking, bottle share if that’s allowed?) but obviously wouldn’t want to drive back. So we’re thinking of renting a car and driver to take us there and back. It’s ~$1000 so we’re looking to add a few more people to make it economical. Anyone interested in joining us please DM me.

 

assassin 21 is the best non KBBS bottle being offered. It’s objectively better than any other assassin that’s come out since 2014

 

Per the stout enjoyers around me who won:" Get any KBBS you can, dont be dumb and wonder about which year. Otherwise get the VB Assassin."

 

If someone has a ridiculously good number and has a choice of KBBS… they should just say “surprise me”?

 

Thank you, my thoughts were to go for the fresher also. Especially since I’ve had 2018 already. I don’t know why I have it stuck in my head that people complained about 2020.

 

If/When TG comes to DSM, they would be the 2nd or 3rd best brewery in DSM.

 

When TG has tapped these high end kegs in the past, have they lasted a while? Or is it a sixtel that sells out quickly?

 

The only 2 KBBS bottles I've had were 18 and 20. They were both equally as good, so I don't think you can go wrong either way. I did however have both of them relatively fresh.

 

I got 84. I will probably go with a 18 KBBS but thinking I'd rather have two smaller bottles of assassin with the VB and Tequilla than one larger bottle. That way after opening one, you still have one to save for later.

 

You get to buy 2 bottles, and those 2 smaller bottles are one package, which only counts as half of your total allocation. So, you can get both the KBBS and both those smaller botfles as long as both are left.

 

Correct, that's why i thought it would be best to do the KBBS plus the two small Assassin bottles.

 

I see. Your original post was confusing since you said you were thinking KBBS, but you’d like the 2 smaller bottles, implying you’d have to do one or the other.
