I’m a little disappointed that Rrari Crochet isn’t back. I wonder if it will be hard to trade for one.

 

Personally I'd pass on it aged. Coconut long gone and basically a very sweet, slightly strawberry stout. Fresh at DLD in 2019 it was great. One of the first beers I had of the day actually.

 

The week of the release, I hope they have some nice things at the kiosk. Perhaps some barrel aged Alpha Klaus would be nice. … 3 Floyds has not been doing a good job of taking my money recently. Here is an opportunity.

I’d say this pretty much kills off the already depressed resale market for those variants and thus flipper are going to stay home.

Chemtrail is fine, but I don’t want another bottle of it. Odds are good I’ll be stuck with something I don’t want now. Vintage pack looks like the better option.

I'm torn on the 3 variants.

On the one hand, as someone who is getting into the whole DL phenomenon pretty late, I'm pretty excited at the odds of finally trying Marshmallow going way up. I've had Chemtrail at FOBAB and loved it, so a bottle of that would be awesome too.

However, it does kind of suck at that there are so few variants. One of the main reasons I am really excited about DL right now is because I first got into it during COVID when they released variants at the kiosk. I lucked into a LATM and Rrari both of which I thought were incredible beers.

I think ~5 variants would be a perfect number. I don't think anyone would be upset with getting 2 of...

I'm fine with it being 3 for one year, just hoping it's not the permanent end for some of these delicious variants.

Going for the uber metal approach - no fun allowed whatsoever.

 

I'm actually surprised the variants weren't just mixed 12oz 4 packs. Maybe next year.

I also stand by my previous statement in this thread that I would gladly take another FFF Dismember's Only release over the DL variants.

 

I know, it's been super fun pulling dessert wine barrel variant after dessert wine barrel variant year after year! A guaranteed Handjee or Chemtrail takes some of the thrill out of opening your bag.

 

The decision seems silly given that they went with 2 variants per allotment. They could have easily just made it so everyone got either a chemtrail or handjee for bottle 1 and then for bottle 2 any of the other wacky variants they have previously done. That would have been a win/ win- people get their whale and fff gets to do their bizarre stuff.
