Completely agree on the wine stopper for the big beers, zero issues with it the next day most of the time. In fact sometimes it gives it a chance to really open up, that I’ve had improvements the next day

The rabbit is my go-to. Crate and barrel make a great $2 one too

Had the two on draft yesterday. B4 is way better, literally the coconutti-est stuff I’ve ever had. Seems like b3 has faded a lot in both aroma and sweetness.

I haven't had the two side-by-side, but I opened the 2021 Coconut Vibes with people at Craft Beer Cellar in Clayton and they said this year's version is the best they've had.

i would kind of hope that anytime a side by side is done with a coconut beer that the current year (freshest) wins. i just don’t think coconut is meant to age.

While I am not disagreeing with you, I think it is important to point out the nuance in this statement, which is that this is (and you are referring to) a coconut-centric beer. Non coconut centric beers that have other adjuncts may beer quite different, especially if they have such overwhelming adjuncts as Cinnamon. I have certainly seen many reviews (including Prop 13/14) where people prefer them other years to fresh, and in many of those cases people get more coconut than fresh, but in all cases coconut was not only never dominant, but also definitely masked by stronger adjuncts (especially when fresh).

yeah, bourbon county is always and forever in its own category because you could put a bottle in a dumpster fire and then ship it to Mars and back and it wouldn’t affect its drinkability. plus, that prop was like coconut water or something right? idk if that makes a difference or not. my point being that coconut and coffee tend to fade pretty fast as far as adjuncts go.

I did as well. Just as others said, the sweetness on 2020 was subdued (not a bad thing) and the nose was light coconut. I never got the chance to try 2020 fresh. 2021 was a a coconut bomb. Nose was so damn amazing super fresh coconut and did not seem artificial. It was sweet but not as cloying as batch 2. Even Cory said batch two was so over the top they stepped it back I cuveed the two about halfway through and it was fuckin perfect.

Drinking both right now. B4 destroys B3 and it’s not close.

Does SP limit the number of bottles of D15 per day or are they gone for good? Not seeing them on the website.

ig live blending session with omnipollo in 5 minutes.

i’ve been wondering recently about SP’s release of their BA stout collab with them and it sounds like it shouldn’t be too much longer.
