If someone can report back on how this batch of Citra + Strata is tasting that'd be great. Didn't love it when I had it at the beginning of the year.

 

Somehow I missed the news that in addition to the seasonal beer garden they've got set up now, OH is opening a brick and mortar taproom at Rockefeller Center later this fall.

also, I don’t know enough about hops but it says frozen fresh - figure due to shipping distance?

Run out Groove is such a panty dropper pilsner. Can't get enough of it

 

So to elaborate after finishing, its a fine offering, its maybe a little bit on the sweeter side, its something that feels worth the $20 but not something I'd make the trip out specially for.

 

At Centre street - incredibly chill, four other people here and football on the tv

really enjoying radiant boots - basically makes me think berry jolly rancher with some slightly spicy/tart character toward the finish

all riwaka everything is solid - great grapefruit notes, slight bit of that earthy spice I like from riwaka

2.5 anniversary is a “standard” OH delicious triple. Wouldn’t say there’s anything super unique but it’s smooth and creamy with present but restrained sweetness

 

It's been a while since I've been to the centre st taproom on a Saturday morning. Place was empty, and had two pages of cans to choose from. What a big difference from two years ago. Definitely a plus.

The downside is that I bought a four pack of All Galaxy Everything without realizing the canning date from 8/31/21...

 

Same with shipping... on one hand I never thought I would be able to order a mixed case of Other Half with free shipping. But on the other hand I never thought I would run the risk of any given IPA being 6+ weeks from canning when I order it! It would be nice if they'd include canning dates on the site / list, but feel it would make the older ones an even tougher sell... maybe it's time to consolidate the lineup a bit.

 

OH need to make this right ASAP

- at least 30 IPAs should be available at any one time
- canning date should be more than 3 days (eww - green) but no more than 14 days (eww - stale)
- 80% of the line up should be objectively “sought after” (ie not available to plebs in any stores, reaching a certain target value on trading/secondary, min. 4.4 score, etc)
- shipping free; mix and match down to the half can quantity
- in-brewery purchasing; no more than one person wait

 

You nailed it. We don't think we're asking for too much.

 

I went on Saturday afternoon and it was packed, busiest I've been it in ages which was surprising.

 

They must have filled in after lunch. I was there at 11:30am and there were just as many visible employees as there were patrons.

 

Everything should work just like Amazon does.
