Not to start another "do they need to put that information on the bottle" argument, but what's up with not saying which fruits are in the fruit melange besides the fact that they have pits? It'd be good to know if I'm getting myself into an olive and avocado beer.

I agree. Don’t makes us guess what it is. It’s not like a pitted fruit blend is a New Glarus secret recipe. I would like to know what I am buying. Skip the criptic mumbo jumbo please

Has NG ever done any kind of BA stout?

I submitted the name fruit déchet. Must have been nixed.

Popped in the Depot after a hike. There were three R&Ds--the ones listed above. I didn't see anything special like Zwickel. I got one of the stout and the pit-fruit sour, and two Vintages.

I've already had one of the Vintages. It's very good, again. Maybe it's just that it's been a while since I had a Vintage, but I say they nailed it again.

Dessert stouts aren't my thing but I'm certainly willing to try this one.

People will be happy to know that the %s are on the bottles

How does the inventory look? Thinking of stopping in on Monday.

Multiple levels of boxes, you should be fine Monday.

Edit: they're not open on the weekend, right? I was there 3 pm Friday so essentially 100% all three will be there Monday.

I was there Thursday. Was so bummed I didn’t seen any pilsners. Was hoping for some Hometown Blonde.

In northern IL for work and drove up to Kenosha Woodman's. Tons on Strawberry Rhubard and Pear 21. Got some Gyrator. Its OK but really sweet. Price is right though. Wonder what the ABV is lol.

    Really, who’s to say?

This seems like Virgin Topic Territory. :stuck_out_tongue:

One pack per person though. Must be a shortage.

Anyone know is Gyrator could be a reoccurring beer? I know it was a 'years in the making' type of thing. But there could be a chance they might keep it around.

Anyone try Blueberry Cocoa yet? Got some from the brewery and drank 2 bottles already. I’m a total NG fanboy and I thought it was terrible. Easily my least favorite NG beer ever and it pains me to say that. Tasted like one of those coffee monster energy drinks.

Got bottles of all the R&Ds too but haven’t tried any yet. Blueberry Cocoa has me nervous for the BA stout but I’m confident the Fruit Melange and Vintage 2020 will be great.

No chance. I bet it gets brought back 4 or 6 years from now just like all of my other “under the radar” lager masterpieces that NG makes.

I will insert this here, but if a moderator decides it should go elsewhere, I understand.
For people motoring from Illinois to Wisconsin for Wisconsin-only brews, which store is better?
    • Woodman's Kenosha
    • Discount Liquors (Oklahoma) Milwaukee

If you are looking for New Glarus beers specifically their website has a pretty good locator tool. FWIW, the person runs liquor department at Woodman's seems to be well aware of who and why comes there.

Only a person in Montana would know that Kenosha Woodmans is the number one store in the state for New Glarus and Goose Island. With that being said it can get picked over rather quickly. They also don’t have dedicated liquor employees and calling is useless. Discount and Ray’s and Three Cellars the Falls it is?!?!

I also hope a full dissertation on the Chevy excursion ensues. I, for one, miss them.
