Which was exactly the situation with Collage, which had people bitching to high hell about $1/oz.

i know a dozen myself, and i want to 'like' your post, but i'm guessing you're mostly just bitter about your iso, especially with the sour grapes attitude in this post.

that being said, another midwest instawale? yawn.

Yeah, anyone who says that no one thinks Eclipse is thin hasn't been paying attention. I don't happen to think it's too thin, but can understand why someone would think that.

I can't understand it, but I don't doubt its true. Just something I had never heard. But, you can find people to say anything about any beer. Except hill farmstead. They make perfect beer I hear.

I've had plenty of beer by them that I've been underwhelmed by. Mostly because I don't really like Saisons.

Shaun still needs some work on his stouts. I found Damon especially to be underwhelming. When it comes to Saisons, Porters, and IPA's he's knocking it out of the park. I have dreams of Mimosa.....heaven in a bottle....

I really want to get a bottle of this just so I can yell "IT'S MURDAH!!!" before opening it.

Actually never mind, Ja Rule sucks and so does Murder Inc.

Really, Midwest? Have you seen what your brethren are trying to get for CC? I mean, 5 king henrys, I can see, but 6 is just over the top. Besides, I have heard of several people, including myself, who think it is no good. (sarcasm, snark, etc). It insists upon itself.

Bully Gulpy tasted like nail polish. We did shots of it as a gag the night before FOBAB, and almost vomited. Almost as bad as the Bully Gulpy-Peaches and cream blend we did

    isn't brethren plural?

it's hilarious that even after using the guy as a punching bag, people are still mad at him. whoa. (i think he's asking too much, but king henry needs to be taken down a notch.)

All I am saying is this new insta whale stuff is happening from both sides. Everytime a new release comes out everyone wants an arm and a leg. I have seen this before. Exactly what happened in the card market. Pretty soon, the market isnt big enough to keep up with all the new releases that devalue those before, and an implosion occurs......of course, this is a consumable product so it is a little different but the fact that most of the mainstays in the trading forum from just a year ago are nowhere to be found speaks volumes for me. I realize trading and buying beer is expensive but I think something else is going on as well.

oh, definitely, and i used to point it out from every single region: black tuesday 09, olde rabbit's foot, lebleu, ba hunahpu's, bar fly... the list goes on.

but i think the number of them coming out of the midwest (bcbvs, cherry rye, cbs, kbs '12, bcbs '11, king henry being the distro'ed ones, then there's all the barrel-aged 3 floyds stuff) has far exceeded any other region in the past 2 years.

i believe that they're hard to get, but there's an active movement to equate all of those beers to brewery-only beers from other parts of the country. i think king henry trades for beatification now... batch 3.
