Thanks for the clarification. It's so tough keeping these things in order before they become a "regular" thing, especially if they are sometimes named, sometimes not, or if the name changes (i.e. cellar sale to stout stock).

    Appreciate it.

I posted here yesterday offering a ticket for Toppling Waters for Thursday, October 28th at 3 PM but I'm not sure anyone really knows about that forum. If anyone is ISO TG Toppling Waters, the ticket is yours, gratis. You'd just need to pick up the bottles yourself or arrange for a proxy. Unsure if I should post this in the trading forum since I'm not technically looking for a trade.

Already received multiple PMs in response to this. So I'll go ahead and declare it claimed. Thanks.

So if I'm going to stout stock next weekend and I'm going to get one of the KBBS bottles, what other choice would be the next best out of the following. I've never had the 2018 assassin but should that matter? What are all your thoughts?

Which KBBS would you pick if you had a choice? I think the two pack is by far the best option if you can get it. 2019 and 2021 assassin are definitely better than 2018. But if you never had it, why not?

I would probably get the 2018 KBBS, I have the 2020 KBBS.

I've also had the tequila assassin and I thought it was just ok so I'm leaning more towards the 2021 assassin. Ppl who have had the 2018 assassin have said it's ok but not as good as the more recent batches.

2021 assassin is the best, I enjoyed 2018 assassin very much (the 4 times I’ve had it 2 draft 2 bottle has been more chocolate fudge compared to the others, although some one had a fit about me saying that before) but 2019 is considered more highly regarded. I felt 2020 was the worst of the bunch from the draft and bottle I’ve had.

Can anyone confirm what kinds of payment (cash only or credit card, maybe gold bullion) is being accepted for the TG TW bottle release? I don't see any specific info on their web page, so I assume credit cards are accepted, but I would rather be sure than assume.

Not sure about TW, but Stout Stock is credit card only. I’m guessing you’re safe.

Credit card, cash, I offered first born but they’ve seen his behavior before and declined.

Looks like each person gets a bottle and a five course meal as well. Still spendy of course.

Ah, somehow I missed the takeaway bottle whilst scanning the page, thanks for the callout. Still insanely priced.

Don’t forget the mandatory 15% gratuity as well.

It’s not that their 5-course meal couldn’t be excellent and couldn’t be “worth” $125ish, but I have to assume that if everyone had their druthers, it wouldn’t be here. I say this as someone that has not of course participated, but I just mean that surely there are better restaurants with better food (ie better value) for the same price wherever you live or nearby. Hell, when I was in DC, one of the best values my wife and I ever experienced was this great restaurant where we had a 12 course tasting menu for $39/person (and it was just us 2).

Without question, I think (hope?) everyone realizes that the reason for the $250/person price tag is that there is obviously a premium being placed on the right to buy the bottle.

As someone with allergies, I won’t lie to say that I was a bit butthurt when they said they wouldn’t guarantee the ability to accommodate. I understand this is more for people that are living a lifestyle than those that are allergic, but I have never had a restaurant say they can’t accommodate, not even for a prix fix.
