Stouts that come out of a machine that cool cost extra I think. This could have been Extra Extra $$$ $$$.

the question is: does it look like 375s or 750s in that video??

Loved this beer when I had a bottle back in 2019. I’d be curious how it’s holding up.

Full slate of fruit today as well.

Which 7th anniversary week events are people planning to go to? I’m likely going to be at the cellar on Tuesday for BBT 2021 (assuming it’s still available by tap at 5pm) and SP Derivation at 7pm, along with the BBT vertical on Thursday. I’m on call next weekend so not sure yet if I’ll be able to do the 7 and 8 Candles releases on Saturday.

I’m going Thursday-Saturday. They’ll probably have BBT5 available all night on Tuesday. This night seems geared towards locals. Thursday will be stupid busy at 5 for BBT2. I’m getting there before open that day to hopefully get a bar seat. Friday I think the smart play is to go to the brewery between 3-4 after the initial wave dies down. For Saturday I think it will be busy for sure, but with the street party and kegs inside and outside it will be a relatively smooth experience. I think as long as you’re there and make an effort to get a pour when they get tapped, you won’t miss any of the candles that day.

Would love if people posted updates on occasion regarding crowds outside. I've got a kid at home who isn't fully vaccinated yet (first shot today!) so stuffing myself into a bar isn't an option.

If I can sit and sip outside, I'll be there some combination of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday most likely.

I’ll be trying SP stouts for the first time, hoping to be there Thursday, but we’ll see. Would love to go Saturday as well, but future me is already saying I’m not to be trusted at an event like that with an 8-9 hour drive home the next day.

This is wild. Can you journal your experience during anniversary week and share with the rest of us? What a crazy time to have your first SP stout.

I’ll do my best, but likely not the only one involved in the weekend and I do my best to not make it all beer... but, we’ll see. Lambic isn’t my thing so I’ll see what other options they’ll have available Friday.

well I had planned to visit for an event in March 2020...
but yeah, saw the event/tap lists and decided it was finally time to make the trip. Very much looking forward to it and I’ll definitely share my experiences.
