And now, a look at my current beer stock, just because, you know

 

We finished our basement last year and I was able to cordon off a few square feet as a beer closet. "I'll never need more space than what's on these big shelves!" says the guy now filling up the floor space around it.

 

That looks nice, especially the lambics,

 

Did a little bit of cellar organization, still need to decide on a way to actually display them nicely. Might need to build shelves or something.

 

Current Cellar

Hard to get back there to take a pic of the whole thing, as its in the back corner of a large closet. Made a move from DC to Bay Area back in Aug and had to drink my cellar there. This is what I've managed to accumulate since then.

lol, just using the box to store some 12 oz that are taller than the shorter 12 oz bottles (Like GF or Old Raspy). Those go in my case box of Pyramid

I like to keep mine box up. Protection from light and easy to move just in case I have to bug out in a zombie apocalypse.

 

Went to get some get some brews for Christmas from my locker at the cellar down the street, so I finally got around to snapping some pictures:

It's actually gotten very popular in the city of Chicago. There are a lot of cellars now from which to choose, and it's very affordable.

 

Same here. I saw a wine cellar place and I've been meaning to see if they'd do beer, but probably not. Most "wine people" around here are your typical snobs.

 

Awesome cellar but I have to ask - in there any evidence that waxing bottles actually reduces the oxidation process?

 

The place that I keep my beer is advertised as wine storage, but they happily accept beer as well. There are several people that mainly cellar beer there.
