    So. Who can we count on to rep Fox Farm with some Scatter tasting posts during the Online Brown Ale tasting event that starts tomorrow?

    I thought I could make a run, but may not be in the cards.
    Seems a good opportunity to promote our favorite CT brewery.

    @MKozaka you may get double your finders fees from the brewery if you can make it happen!!

    I've never had any of HF's lagers, but FF's lagers can definitely hang with Suarez's stuff. I usually load up on Gather, The Cabin, The Cottage, Quiet Life, Quiet Night etc whenever I make a run over their hoppy stuff. Suarez's pilsners have a balance and cleanness that no other brewery can match IMO, so it's really more of what you're looking for.

    As a brewery that takes on multiple styles, I think FF hit above average to very good on everything. Outside of Overture Avalonia (I'm still kicking myself for only getting 1 bottle), I've never had anything from FF that really amazed me, but I've enjoyed every single beer from them that I've tried.

    When was Graze brewed/available last? Some time last year, no?

    Did you have Triolet? To me it's their best beer with Overture a close 2nd.

    No, I unfortunately dropped the ball on that release and missed it. Now that their spontaneous ferm program seems to be up and running, I'll be sure to grab the next bottle!

    Def appreciate the offer, but I'm going to be spending a lot of money on BCBS the day before, so I need to show some restraint! Thank you, though!

    Damn it. I’m definitely overspending at Schilling this week, but I’m driving right by Fox Farm next Friday morning. New Music Vale Composition?! My wife is gonna be so mad at me and Santa won’t be as generous!

    Fox Farm Homies! Need a little assistance. I'm going to be swinging by Friday. I've decided it's a dark beer visit: Quiet Night, Camp, Stet, Tiddly, Scatter, Ashlawn. I'll grab Cadenza too.

    But, I would like recommendations for something hoppy I'd like a couple cans of. Caveat: I like balance. I don't want big, juice forward. I like a nice little malt backbone. More akin to west coast.

    The options: Layers, Alta, Burst, Bluster, Viridescence.

    I've only had 2 out of the 5 hoppy beers mentioned, so take my suggestion with a grain of salt.

    Burst is like a NE/WC IPA hybrid. It starts off with some fruity tropical notes and has hop bitterness and malt on the finish.

    Bluster is probably the most fruity NEIPA hoppy beer that I've had from Fox Farm, so I wouldn't recommend that.

    @mrmattosgood
    I would lean toward Alta if that’s what you’re looking for. Viridescence is really mango/white wine forward, Bluster is mostly coconut forward and Layers is very strawberry forward. Burst could fit the bill as @Xerlic said and would probably be my first choice (although I love Viridescence too) but Alta has more of a bitter malt to it plus the spelt adds a bit of heft to it. Burst definitely is juice forward, and softer, which seems to be what you’re not looking for.
