    -PROOF OF LIFE SIGHTING-
I found both Michelob Original Lager and Michelob Light in a abundance at:

    Total Wine & More
    1460 E 86th St
    Indianapolis, IN 46240
    317-708-4190

This is a mega store with more of everything than you could ever possibly want! Amazing store! It is like the Library of Congress for alcohol! I was happy to see this after a shitty day of having my life ran by idiot “shit for brains” supervisors that don’t even know how to do the job they are supposed to be supervising!

It's been years since I've seen Michelob lager in a liquor store. Fortunately, I am able to special order it. If you can't find it in your local liquor store, see if they can special order it for you. Because some liquor stores will.

Now can we just get the lava lamp-shaped bottles back? Those would be a home run.

Sure. It’ll be the same year we get the stubby Heineken bottle back.

I wonder where the Michelob we had back in Scotland in the 1980s was brewed ?
Back at that time I somehow thought it was from Belgium!

Well, Anheuser-Busch didn't start licensing their Budweiser brand to brewers in other countries until the 1980s, starting with Labatt in Canada, which eventually also began brewing Michelob for the Canadian market mid-decade or so.

AB licensed Budweiser* to Watney/Grand Met by the mid-1980s brewed at the Stag brewery, Mortlake but, based on ads in London papers (1990 snip below) Michelob was being imported - one imagines, from the US. (Guinness was brewing Budweiser for the Irish market by then, not sure if they did Michelob).

    * A good friend and I did a pub and brewery tour of the UK around that time and one of my many memorable moments, in this case sub-filed under "WTF", was seeing US tourists drinking UK-brewed Budweiser. "Damn, dude, you coulda stayed home and drank that."

But, apparently, there were reasons other than drinking cask ale that some Americans went to Great Britain on vacation? Go figure.

Good question. Even I'm rethinking it . Packaged date or pull date? Gotta be packaged date right? @tolar111 can you share if there are any dates on the bottles?

AB used to be known for their "born on" dates, but who knows these days?

This is a close up of the bottle. On most of the bottles this is illegible. the numbers to the
left are 21281 just like on the packaging not sure about the next set. The funny thing is
the numbers on the bottle toward the bottom aren't visible other than in the photo

I'm going to do a serious review, but for now I have to say it's ok. The thing I really notice is the prickly carbonation. It's not sweet, it's not bitter. There's what I believe is a Germanic hop component, but I'm not picking up anything I could specifically identify. The pour and appearance are probably the biggest negatives. The head forms and quickly recedes, leaving no lacing, so it looks like apple juice in the glass.
