“Nov 15, 2021 · Human Robot, with a brewery and taproom in Philadelphia, is adding a second location by expanding into Jenkintown, PA, with an estimated opening of early 2022.We recently spoke with Human Robot co-owner Ken Correll to learn more about the pending location. The new taproom will be located at 208 York Road in Jenkintown.”

It is my understanding this is the location previously occupied by Neshaminy Creek Brewing.

Huh. Thanks — yes, looks like the link has been taken down. I did think it was a little strange that BIPA announced it with HR silent on it — probably happening, but the announcement is premature. Don’t have the best experiences with BIPA generally, so this isn’t all that surprising.

Still, great news for HR!

I had a bottle last night and thought it was great. It struck me as a schwarzbier but BA lists it as a winter warmer. Should that be corrected?

Does anyone know any places that might still have Goose Island BCBS Blanton's Reserve? Or Fourteen.

 

What locale, specifically? Anywhere in the SEPA area? And I'd be pretty surprised if there were many stores anywhere with Blanton's still on the shelf in PA (let alone someone generous enough to give up that sort of spot publicly, but I'd be happy to be proven wrong!)... you're likely to have better luck with Fourteen though.

 

I'm in South Philly. I was able to find an EC Double Barrel and OF 150 very late in the day yesterday, so you might be surprised at how long they last at places off the beaten path.

 

It's definitely a lager not a warmer. I like that beer a lot. Sort of a bigger brawler.

 

I submitted a correction but so far, crickets. Not gonna lose any sleep over it. And yeah, I like it quite a bit and am already down to 1 bottle.

 

Society Hill Beverage used to be my spot, but their building is a hole on the ground right now. Total Wine in DE had the 14 last I checked, if you want to drive that far.

 

Thanks for the heads up. I actually went to Society Hill Beverage last year on Black Friday. Not this year obviously!

 

Is it worth ubering out to the Ardmore Tired Hands location, or is the one in Philly pretty much as good?

 

What in particular are you looking for? Both have a decent draft list, and both have cans/bottles to go... I don't think one is far better than the other, personally, but take a look at both of their selections to see if anything stands out to you.

St. Oner's is smaller, but (a) neither will likely be overly busy and (b) you have plenty of other great options nearby St. Oner's too.

 

Mainly looking for good draft options, and whether there is anything significantly different between the two spots. Thanks for the tips.
