How are Anchorage’s Doomed and The Sacrifice stacking up against VSOJ?

 

Speaking just in regards to the HOMES, you’d be better off trading that for some other locals (Arvon, Citybuilt, Wax Wings, etc..) I’ve come to find those bottles aren’t quite to the level of trading highly(nor selling) just yet. Note the 5 month~ old bottle of HyperSurface expired on MBC for .35 VRU. So many breweries are doing the candy bar like stouts now, that it’s hard to move stuff like that. Cheers, and good luck securing the bottles you’re interested in.

 

I'm interested in Voodoo BM in the Wild Turkey barrels but have no idea its value. Anyone have any insight? I haven't seen many trade on here.

 

I’ve got a bottle of Dimensions of Time - Al Young Four Roses.

I’ve no clue it’s value but I’m looking for non adjunct BA stouts or Barleywines that would go 1:1 with it. Any help?

1 to 1.25 VRU as in 200-250? That is way high for WT BM. It's around 100. Blantons BM is definitely dropping, but it doesn't seem like WT is climbing...

 

I don't think a VRU is at or around 250

 

The beer itself is certainly not worth that much now. But it had been steady at 200 for a very long time, which is I guess why people used the VRU metric — that way people could refer to a known dollar value (200) without using the language of dollars (so clever, right!!). My sense is that when most people refer to VRU now, it still means 200, even though the actual beer is no longer worth that much. But sometimes it doesn't mean this, or something. This is why VRU is dumb — when it's used in any given instance, no one knows for sure whether it's supposed to mean 200 or whether it means the current value of the beer.

 

My initial response was also because I can't imagine WT BM being 200-250 either, maybe someone will let us know.

 

Trying to gauge value on ‘19 GI Rittenhouse reserve rye. Would like to go 1:1 with ‘20 anniversary but not sure where values line up. TIA

 

Here's one that kind of extrapolates into a more general/abstracted question:
Ba lads for ba lbds.

In a vacuum obviously it seems like straight up value. But the ba lbds was an in-person only release, whereas ba lads was a hybrid release model. Should ba lbds be considered of higher value and require a few small toss ins to compensate for ppl having to dragass out to Middletown NY? Just curious, cheer yall.

 

As for your specific question: it does seem to me like LB is like a four pack of hops higher than LA. I wouldn’t be surprised if that evens out over time though.

As for your more general question: those are certainly factors worth considering (ease of access, basically), but unfortunately the “worth” question is much more murky than that overall.
