in that case, and this is my own opinion obviously and can also change blend to blend, but i’d say Raspe is more jammy and sour of the bunch - very much a raspberry showcase, Raspberry BdP is definitely going to be more restrained so if you’re a raspberry lover you might be let down but it is definitely less sour, and FdF is going to be a little more balanced between the base beer, the fruit and even the oak (and perhaps a little more complex overall). that’s just my experience though.

Raspe will be quite sour and quite jammy. FdF will be fairly jammy though likely not as much as Raspe. I haven’t had this batch of FdF, but b2 was very sour, b3 was much less so. Basically b2 > Raspe > b3 for sourness.

RBdP will be significantly less jammy with fruit a conplement rather than the main event. Much lighter mouthfeel and soft tartness.

Thanks @Luscious_Malfoy and @leroybrown10 . This helps a lot. I had a sip of Raspe on draft one time (from a coworker), and I got almost no sour at all. That was in 2019 I think, so not the most recent batch. So, even though I haven't had Raspberry BdP or FdF, this gives me some insight and a starting point to try to describe.

    Really appreciate the assistance.

In terms of a raspberry flavor, I would say Raspe is the best choice, followed by FdF and then BdP. For the accompanying sourness that is associated with these beers, for me FdF was heartburn level, Raspe was initially a good punch of sour, but eased up, and BdP was slightly tart.

Of course if raspberry is what you plan to give your sister, please don't forget New Glarus Raspberry Tart. That is straight juice compared to any of the SP offerings.

Which batch of FdF are you referring to, or are all heartburn level for you?

Both 1 and 2 for me. Bottles shared on site. B2 was during Fermier day IIRC. The Quetsche was pretty sour, then FDF destroyed it.

I, personally, enjoy Raspberry BdP quite a bit - but then again I think reg BdP is really nice. I can send you a bottle if you’d like.

Understood. Sounds like this is batch 3...? Which is my only familiarity with FdF.

I whiffed on it. I accidently went to reset my password somehow. But, it saves me a drive across the state. Nice, reasonable package too.

Out of curiosity, did anyone see it pop up immediately? It normally takes maybe 15-30 seconds to show up. Today I think it was over a minute.

I opted not to try. I don't need more Merci or SdFp. Just inquiring because someone I know said they didn't see it pop up until it was sold out.

It took a bit longer to show up and then I got caught in a weird loop asking me to reset my password and missed out. Too bad.

I checked late at 11:01 my time. It was already up. Sold out within the 45 seconds it took me to reset my password.

The Instagram post did say limited quantities. Combine that with the lower price than BBT (and the relative value Bubble Wrap has for trades), I'm not surprised it disappeared near instantly.

Interesting. So it wasn't just me. I didn't recall clicking the reset password button, but it sent me an email.

I think that package was great. I really like SdF and I have not had Merci, but I bet it's another wonderful beer.

Yeah, my saved password threw an error. I hit reset and then got like 6 emails from them.
