More Brewing (2021)

And my Mehndi streak has ended.

Well, I tried Roaming Elephant at FOBAB last night.

I really liked Roaming Elephant, thought it was a well above average BA barleywine, but Ariavata is in a different class than it. Having had pours of VSOJ, Roaming Elephant and Ariavata all in the past few days, Ariavata would be my #1.

Ariavata > VSOJ > Roaming Elephant

 

With the membership drawing going up this week wanted to see if anyone was a member last year and could share their experiences? TIA!

 

My wife won the membership last year and we really enjoyed it. We renewed without hesitation. First dibs on all of the canned stouts and guaranteed BA bottles. The membership party was well done we thought.

I lined up on the bike path in VP for all three BA Hennas so I have been a fan from the beginning. That was an hour away for me. Huntley us only a half hour.
I've been very impressed with the Mehndi, Roaming Elephant and the other BA bottles. I think they will only be getting better.

 

Thanks! Were there any member exclusive beers this year that were great? I really have enjoyed more’s barrel aged stuff this year on tap

 

Since it is my wife's account, I can't verify but I think one of the bottles was exclusive. At the members party they offered the Ariavata on draft, which was exceptional!

 

I really enjoyed the membership as well. Not having to enter lotteries is a great perk. The members party was probably my favorite part of the membership. Each attendee got 4 pours of their BA offerings(Double Origin, BA Arketype, Four, and Airavata) and an entree. The cost of the membership included the party. Although there was supposed to be a second members party this month which was cancelled. They added a bottle to make up for the party. 10 BA beers, 2 member exclusive glasses, and the members party was included in the membership. I did renew as well.

The only member exclusive was BA Arketype Almond Fudge Macaroon. All the other beers were released to the public also.

 

Debating if I should enter in the raffle for a chance at a membership.

Copy that. So it seems they’re doing a slightly different format this year with two bottles of each BA release. Hmmm.

 

Was very surprised to see the e-mail come through that I was pulled for the 2022 membership. I never win any of these Oznr lotteries. Looks like 2021 was a great year for the membership so pretty excited about what 2022 will bring
