The power is out at Rev and @GuyFawkes is using the darkness to try to finagle a crowler out of the bartender …

I would not mind in the slightest if crowlers of one-offs after release weekend became a VIP perk.

So to sum it up, they've gone full Dark Mode.

Just ordered cans of Ryeway, Straight Jacket and Vanilla Deth online. Pretty pumped.

Probably in this thread but does anyone know off hand the prices of each of these (4 packs) when buying them in a store or from Rev?

IIRC, SJ is $25 and VD $45 at Binnys. Dunno about Ryeway.

Ryeway - 30. SJ - 25. VD - 40. All three still available directly from Rev.

Pretty similar to what I paid. A few bucks more for each. Don't mind because there's no other way for me to buy it

Ryeway will run you anywhere from $30 to $35 in a store.

They are all listed on Binny's website and you can see the stores that may have them.

BUT - I hear that Binny's may match online prices. Since Rev still has 10 Deep Wood beers availble online, I would like to hear of someone getting the brewery price at Binny's. :+1:

Well I live in CT so my options are quite limited :grimacing:. Beer Temple ships to me and luckily they had a nice Rev selection today. No Deth by Rasberries or Blackberry Fin though, but still very happy

Those were both no distro, along with Dark Mode.

But if for some reason you see Finn pop up, jump all over that without hesitation.

I'm good with Revolution chilling on maple variants for about a decade or so.

I don't care how dry the base beer for Maple Jacket was...this is borderline cloying.

Found an early Christmas present from beer gods today: Supermassive 4-pack, only one hiding among Cafe Deth at a random liquor store. Since I missed the release this year, I am thrilled. Thank you beer gods!

I'm glad I had it on tap. Decided to just take Dark Mode from my preorders. And I'm a HUGE maple syrup guy. Maple Jacket was too much sweetness and everyone is allowed a miss now and again, even Rev. Frankly, we're spoiled they are able to nail it so often...

Anyone who purchased some Maple Jacket & want to get rid of it, I'm your huckleberry! I'm a huge maple fiend & have at least 36 sweet teeth in my mouth, so this sounds right up my alley.

Man, I feel like an outlier on Maple Jacket, in that I didn’t think it was too sweet. The flavors don’t quite mesh, and I liked Maple Deth better, but I thought Honey Jacket was waaay more sweet (like not able to finish the can levels of sugar). Heck, I’m having an Other Half Canadian whatever it’s called (the Binny’s collab) and find it sweeter and cloying compared to MJ.

We’re in the same boat. I found Honey Jacket almost undrinkable whereas Maple Jacket was pretty good. I’m not sure a barleywine with maple is the best combo but I didn’t hate it.
