Very limited coming into MA, seeing Alexandr mostly offered every week. This week fingers crossed for Portico and Foy, but it seems like only a few accounts get it

You're gonna lose your BGB (Beer Geek Badge) with that attitude - your fan-boyism is supposed to increase when you can't get a brewer's beers.

I heard from a buddy in the know, I haven't seen anything anywhere that puts it on the record. It tracks, though, Schilling always sold extremely well in NY so I couldn't imagine a reason to just cease sending the whole state your beer. And being that it seems to be the case all over, like that's a seismic change in your distro.

EPISODE 253 - SCHILLING BEER CO

Schilling putting more attention towards their onsite experience with another addition to the campus (in the works). Nonetheless, production is expected to increase in 2022 with the additional barrels & horizontal tanks coming in

Some discussion on collaborations with possibilities behind a
    • Mixed Ferm via Tim (Oxbow), and a
    • Steinbier via Shawn (Halfway Crooks)

+ Oktoberfest is continually being worked & refined: space, understanding…

Ok, this is LONG overdue, my apologies for promising to do something and not getting to it.

Given it's been over two months, just going to do a high level trip summary from memory.

Stayed at the Thayer's Inn for what it's worth. Nice little Inn, in a solid location if you want to regularly hit up the usual haunts in Littleton, including Schilling. No elevator...so keep that in mind.

As mentioned above, I went to Schilling many, many times. At least twice a day if I recall. Loved both spots. Got the pizza, pretzels, and burger there over the weekend. I recommend all of them, but the pretzels were the highlight for me believe it or not.

Beal House was a solid meal, the cider donut dessert was particularly amazing if I recall. However, Timbir Alley blew it out of the water. Nice little cozy restaurant, and EVERYTHING was fantastic. I highly recommend it (actually I'd recommend either place, I just preferred one over the other).

If cans from Schilling don't suffice, there's also a nice little liquor store called "Little Town Brews" in the downtown with a pretty amazing selection. I believe they allow singles too.

For a short day trip, we went to Polly's Pancakes for breakfast on our way to the Omni. This was the highlight of the trip for some. I had a stellar breakfast sandwich, and of course the pancakes and waffles were amazing. You can mix and match toppings and flavored batters for each. If I recall I think the gingerbread pancakes with chocolate chips were particularly good.

We also went to Rek-Lis Brewing on a whim as we drove by. I didn't even know it was there (I've heard of it). Really cool vibe, plenty of outdoor space, and I recall enjoying the beers. Food looked amazing but we didn't get any.

We also went to Littleton Freehouse which was a cool spot. Great if you want to watch sports and eat some solid pub grub. Beer list was solid as well.

Finally, on the last morning on our way out we hit up Crumb Bum Bakery. It came as advertised, we got a ton of treats to split, too many to list here (I also don't remember all of them).

Special shout out to the staff at both Timbir Alley and Schilling. Both treated us amazingly well on this trip.

And a final shout out to all those who made recommendations. I hope to return in the near future!

One of Schilling’s brewers left almost two years ago, but aside from that it’s been the same high quality artisans as always. Also NY continues to receive multiple shipments of Schilling every month, the specialty just sells out pretty quickly at key top Schilling accounts. Alexandr however is widely available all over the state.

I am 1000% telling you that most of NY isn't getting shit for Schilling anymore. It's not on our draft lists, its not in our stores, it's not coming.
