    Good afternoon, all! I picked up a variety pack of Great Lakes beers last week to share with my coworkers, so I figured I'd try this Eliot Ness Amber Lager with lunch today. Malty, nice bitterness, crisp and dry finish. Great pairing with rotisserie chicken. Cheers!

    look: 3.75 | smell: 4 | taste: 3.75 | feel: 4 | overall: 3.75

    Clear, mahogany brown body; nice carbonation; fairly thick and frothy head, khaki colored and sticky, rings of patchy foam line the glass. Fine light roasted grain and chocolate smell. Light, cocoa sweet flavor with a moderate bitterness; malty; bittersweet. Medium body; a bit smooth; semi-sweet mouthfeel overall.

    A nice, tasty, malt-forward dark lager.

    Pouring temperature: 43 °F; crowler canning data: December 29th, 2021

    Jupiler. It says 'Pils' on the can, but is Belgian industrial lager as far as I know. Not bad at all, in my humble opinion.
    At around 1 €/$ for a large can the price is rather good compared to the craft version I had before.

    One of my friends worked for FN Herstal, when he visited the factory, the guys
    took him out for beers afterward. That's the only beer they drank.

    Benchtop Old Wooden Ship barleywine... so Benchtop has done OWS for years in various barrels, bottled... but this is a non barrel aged barleywine in cans (!!!). Its excellent.
