Green Cheek Beer Company (2022)

Drinking a can of their new Nelson WCIPA right now. Kind of reminds me of a Citra/Nelson combo. Their IPAs are way to easy to drink!

 

Their hazy nelson dipa from December was probably my favorite beer of 2021.

 

That beer was definitely my favorite beer of 2021. Too bad it kicked at the brewery before I got to have a second pint when I was in CA for Christmas. When it gets released in cans next time I'm on the first flight out there.

 

order their DOUBLE SMASH BURGER w/ TOTS ... that shit is life changing!

 

... except the tots haven't been available in Orange when I've been there, dimmit!

 

Have tots ever been available at Orange? I thought it was a Costa Mesa only thing.

 

Are fries available in Orange? Maybe it’s a deep fryer lack of thing?

 

I think they take the grub from Costa Mesa to serve in Orange. Never had the tots in Orange, only a funky german potato salad. But yo dat smashburger and a side of Cocohut...

Like many other CA breweries, you build a case or half case and it ships anywhere within CA. $20 flat fee per case plus CRV and tax. Late in the week orders go out on Mondays, Monday - Wednesday orders go out Thursday - Friday. They expect 24 hour delivery from the time of the ship date.

I have no personal experience using their shipping as I live within reasonable driving distance from them. If you do it, report back and let us know.

 

I've ordered from them a few times with no problems. It's a nice option to have, as I live about a 3-4 hour round trip drive from there depending on traffic, and gas alone would run me between$40-$50 to pay them a visit. So needless to say it makes more sense for me to just have their beer shipped.

Speaking of shipping, I placed an order with Firestone Walker a week ago and still no sign of it being fulfilled. It's my first time ordering from them, but the other dozen or so breweries that I've ordered from before has gotten the beer to my door in less time than that. Wondering if this is normal.

 

I ordered from FW early in the pandemic and my experience was similar. I wouldn't hear anything for days or longer, then my order would show up via FedEx.

 

Same as above, my last FW order showed up unannounced and FW sent me a delivery notice two days later.

 

They have chips and potato salad, those are pretty much it.

 

The Orange location has food now? I thought they didn’t have a kitchen.

 

they do smash burgers on a portable propane flat grill thing … that said, food much better in Costa Mesa

 

I’ve never had a smash burger - seems kind of sacrilegious to me. I’m also not too fond of tots At least they have good beer.
