3 Floyds Brewing (2022)

And that makes me assume I’m trying it at the right time. Every time I get those notes, they mellow out after a month or so. I got none of that tonight. When was the last time you had a bottle?

 

I didn’t get any green pepper and drank all 4 bottle within 2 weeks of release. I would load
Up on this stuff if you see it again. For the price and quality it can’t be beat.

 

For me, they nailed the coffee profile and I think Supermassive is a decent amount more coffee forward for my taste. I thought Crushing Mass was very barrel forward and boozy, but I loved it. I thought FFF nailed this one. Had one last week and didn't notice any off flavors.

 

1 - fresh Supermassive
2 - Crushing Mass
3 - month old Supermassive

Supermassive drops off so quick I feel like the distinction needs to be made. Not that I'm knocking either beer because I absolutely am not and loved em both.

 

I honestly think the green pepper detection is just a genetic thing. Have had several shares with coffee beers where one guy just always gets green pepper when most of us don't. It's gotten to the point that it's a self fulfilling prophecy.

 

Yeah, at $28 a pack, it's a fantastic price. I plan to get more.

 

50 Million Dollar Man is a pretty nice hazy. Probably more haze/juice forward than Cheerteam or 25 Million Dollar Man were, still has just enough bitterness to keep it drinkable.

 

That could make sense. I do think I'm more sensitive to it than most.

 

If you don’t mind me asking but where did you find it? Stopped by Niles binnys today hunting for it and said it was gone weeks ago. Same at LZ and wheeling Binnys.

That beer is killer. Took me by surprise as well.

 

I had Adult Size Beverage this weekend and it was OK. Good flavor, but nothing specific coming through. Very Sweet for sure, could taste the Sauternes Barrels. I definitely prefer the BBA DL to this one.

 

this is tasty. canned 20 days ago. high enough octane to make it just as much floyds as it is trendy haze. more of a hybrid of NE / Midwestern DIPA. i dig it.

 

I had Crushing Mass on draft at DMen Tap on W. Belmont Ave.
I didn't get a green pepper taste. I did get the boozy aroma and flavor. It was good. I will buy this again if I see it out here.

I really enjoyed this beer the last time it was around and went back for seconds. Will be buying a few bottles this time.

 

Never heard of it before. When was the last iteration released?

 

June/July 2020? At least I drank my last bottle in July 2020. Pink glitter wax.
