Yeah, I’m really into those DBH tall boys right now. The perfect size for a session, and on par or better than most shelfies, including Toppling Goliath. Not quite at Tired Hands level, at least when TH is focusing on their core lineup, but they’re all over the place these days. Also agree on just checking social media for release dates, it’s not that hard.

New trail does stamp a date on their broken heels 12 packs. Hopefully they will start this on the actual cans across their lineup. I bought a ton of Lazy River Pils when they first moved to the printed can labels, now I have no idea how old they are.

BTW, had a draft of double Nugget nectar the other day skiing, it was really good!

My two cents: I got a six pack of 12 oz cans,BB 5/11/22 for 14.99. My son(he was drinking Double Dales from Oscar Blues) and I both thought the NN has a much hoppier aroma. I thought it tasted great. As much as I liked this years version, it's hard to pay 14.99 a sixer, when I can get a 12 pack of my favorite IPA (Evolution Lot #3) for 17.99.

Speaking of Double Dale’s, I happened upon it at Wegmans yesterday and drank one last night. I thought it was great! Still haven’t gotten NN by me in NJ yet.

I haven;t seen it in Massachusetts yet. I always enjoy NN, though of course it's changed somewhat over the years - or my taste buds have... (or both?)
Certainly back when, it was one of the more anticipated releases, but obviously that style, |(they call it Imperial Amber? I always call it an IPA...) has falled by the wayside, first by BBA , then who knows what, and hazies for the past several years.
As much as i do enjoy most hazies, there's something refreshing about an unabashedly crystal-clear IPA (or hoppy beer)

I buy at least a sixer of Mad Elf every year. A few years ago, I did my own vertical with cellared bottles of 3, 2 & 1 year old MEs plus a freshie.

I had pretty much the same sense as you. The cherries definitely faded with age. But, I think that maturity improved the balance and overall flavor profile.

By three years, I think everything started to taste a little off.

As a result, I switch out a sixer in my cellar every year. I drink the two-year old bottles and replace them with freshies.

There was one Double left at Wegmans around 11:00 today. I left it for you, but did grab the Broken Heels IPA (not double)

Tröegs released Double Nugget Nectar today and said they are releasing to “selected” retailers. I am definitely keeping my eyes open on this one.

Yup, I just saw multiple four-packs at my local Wegmans supermarket earlier today - $15.99 for the four-pack.

I am a generous BA and left them all there for others to buy.

    Cheers!

Got a four pack at Wegmans today for $11.99 (sorry @JackHorzempa) price made me get that instead of a single along with four pack of 16 oz Hopslam for only $13.50. Nice price for a 10% TIPA!

Please get back to us and let us know what you think of those beers.

    Cheers!

P.S. And 'interesting' that even though I am closer to the Troegs brewery than you are the NJ price ($11.99) is 4 bucks cheaper. The 'intricacies' of beer distribution!?!
