Truthfully, anything south of Andover is off limits (and I rarely go that far). I have a three-times-a-year mandatory visit to Cambridge for birthday parties, but other than that, I'm out.

See? That’s just how it is. I grew up on the north shore. I had an aunt who moved to Randolph when I was a kid and I never saw her again.

BTW, did you know there have been Osgoods in Andover since the mid-1600’s? I’m descended from some of them. Myself, I got as far south as Melrose before I got sling-shot all the way back to New Hampshire.

Have you considered Athletic in Stratford, CT?

And an Osgood Street in at least four neighboring cities/towns. My brother did the lineage once. I think we've been here since like 1619 or something wild.

You'll find I'm more likely to move to Southern California than the South Shore. In fact, I've 100% been to SoCal more than the South Shore. I was there two weekends ago. Going back in less than a month.

There's a South Shore? Is that like the Cape or something?

I dunno, Quincy is really far, and I never go there. So anything past that is Mordor to me.

I like extremes. We do the Cape every year, but Eastham. Anything closer than Orleans isn't the Cape. (I know I just made people mad. I'm just kidding. I don't care. I just know that some people really do.)

Won't make me mad, I never go to the Cape. If I'm going to travel that far from where I am, I'll just go to Portland.

I have never been offered a beer when checking into a hotel but I must admit that I have never thought to ask.

What's the worst that can happen? They don't actually give you that requested beer. :flushed:

    Cheers!

When I arrived to my all inclusive resort in Punta Cana they handed us all mugs of Presidente while checking in.

Based upon reading a number of your posts you must be one wealthy dude!

Please let me know what you paid for your barrel of Notch Pitch Lines Pils.

    Cheers to you!!

P.S. I will go back to drinking my homebrewed beers - Tmavý Ležák in the lagering chamber right now and 1896 Michelob in the primary.

Until I hit the Powerball!

And then nothing but all inclusive resorts for me and the missus. I will even be drinking cocktails with fancy little umbrellas!! :stuck_out_tongue:

    Cheers!

I don't think I really had been to either "shore" as an adult until Notch opened. Like I had class field trips as a kid like we all had to do to Salem (witch trials) and Plymouth (colonial times). If I had it my way, I would not deign to go to either. Now, this is how you offend someone.

Yeah, because they need more press. Sorry, don't mean that to sound as sarcastic as it does, but I see so many articles about them and I cannot go anywhere on the web without being served their advertisements. Literally every website I visit. They're a good story but I am so so so sick of hearing/reading about them. (But this is what happens when you have celebrities backing you with big $$).

Not bad! I've never been given beer at checkin, but the coca tea in Cuzco was a nice touch.
